Poor 2.0
Worse experience in Hotels.
I was not expecting a five stars Hotel, but something decent. The service was horrible, and It was the main issue to give 1. They basically tried to robbed me. I called them previously to cancel the first night; however, they told me I had to pay it anyways, Ok, I get thta! because I could affected them I thought. After our first minute there I wanted to leave. The area was not that good especially at night. The service poor and the rudeness we got from them was unacceptable, so I decided to booked a different Hotel; in fact they told they needed the room. That night, other guy told was It was ok to leave the hotel the next day and gave the balance verbally. The next a different lady wanted me to pay the 8 night i booked originally if I wanna leave. Finally she wanted me to pay 3 day to let us go even though we sleep 1 night. I finally did pay two night. Anyways I could withe a letter with our experience in that hotel, but I will keep like that. The best time we had there was we left. There a scam.

Very good 8.0
Having stayed at various 2 star hotels in this area the room decor, furniture and bathroom were more up to date and cohesive. Only downside is the lack of internal soundproofing which proved a bit too much after 2 nights for a 9 night stay. However, Anna was absolutely brilliant from the offset (and throughout) and moved us (2 rooms) to the rear for the remaining 7. We visit yearly and know the area well and know what to expect regarding location, locals and hotel rooms. Visitors to this area need to be aware that 2* rooms are small, basic and not perfect which is (very Paris) and reflected in the cost and the 10th around this area is noisy and a bit sketchy, more so at night. This part of the 10th is a transient heavy footfall transport hub for visitors and local commuters, Paris is no different to any other major city, you need to be socially aware. The 10th GDN location is excellent, the hotels are on the doorstep and reasonable, you have an abundance of eateries and you get can to anywhere easily - we come from London.

Do not expect the luxury!
HOTEL: Typical budget for Paris center. ROOM & SLEEPING QUALITY: I stayed solo in a double room. For me it was all right regarding the space. But for two people it may be cramped. The room was oriented toward the inner courtyard . It was very quiet at night. Otherwise the hotel is in the street with low car traffic but with young people on the street at night. Also the walls between the rooms are extremly thin but I was lucky to have no loud neighbor. My good rating of the sleeping quality might not be universal. BATHROOM: Small. There were not enough towel hanger for all towels, alghtough there was possibility to instal two more on each sides of the toilet. CLEANNES: Cottone white bed sheet and white towels were clean. The bathroom was also clean. WIFI: Good, electric socket by the bed. BREAKFAST: Very simple French, not buffett. VALUE FOR MONEY: Acceptably for Paris center. I did not expect the luxury.

Mix experience
We were very happy when we checked in on Sept 10 because a male staff who worked at reception desk was very friendly and gave a lot of tip to us on how to visit Paris, especially he went out to point out for us how to get the train station next early morning. Unfortunately, my wife was sick on Sept 12. I asked the male staff for delaying to check out on Sept13 for one hour because our train was on 2:00pm. He agreed. However, on Sept 13 evening, a female staff told us we must check out at 12:00 and she did not care my wife is sick or not. We had to get out at 12:00 even thought my wife had a high fever.

I have booked the room for my mum for a two weeks stay from April 2nd to the 15th. Her return flight was in the evening of the 15th and she requested a late checkout of 2:00PM instead of 12:00 PM which was accepted a day before. Surprisingly, by noon on the 15th, the reception called her to check out and the person over the phone was so disgusting and disrespecful in a way that she did not even want to listen to the explanations and agreements set the day before. Unfortunately, she sent a clerk to carry her luggages out and she had to pack everything in the lobby before departing to the airport. So bad experience and I am strongly insisting that Expedia investigate on this incident.
