The location wasn’t as convenient as I expected but probably I have just read the map wrong. Anyway there are some good restaurants very close by and it’s easy to grab a taxi by using Grab to travel around. The staffs are nice and friendly, they are very passionate and always with a fantastic smile and willingness to help. Esp the bell service agents by the entrance, they are the most impressive. From the moment your taxi arrives, they are already helping you with your luggage and door. After we check in, they helped with the luggage and give us a thorough introduction of the room. Another thing I was impressed - I rated my check in experience on expedia and addressed some confusions, the manager on floor called me the next day and hoping to understand more and see what else can be done to make my stay more comfortable - although there isn’t anything else I needed extra from them, I was impressed by their willingness to listen to their guests. The in room dining is great, I had the blue crab carbonara and mushroom soup (love it A LOT), will appreciate more if they have more options. The room is a bit dark tho, will be nice if they have lights in the ceiling on the bed side. Swimming pool was the reason I chose the hotel and I wasn’t disappointed, the cocktails are also surprisingly nice (not all hotels give you nice pool, nice drinks and friendly staffs all together). All in all, if I would revisit Kuala Lumpur I am likely to stay with hotel strips again.

A gem on the weekend
The trip from the airport could be quite deceiving. I passed by pavilion mall’s neighbourhood which was vibrant and alive. Then come this shady area with nothing around (at least it seems at first). Then at a single turn, a modern hotel with 5 stars look. Service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and professional. The room was expected of a 5-stars hotel. Not a big fan of the sink outside the room and the “censored” bathroom. Id rather have a closed bathroom with sink inside the bathroom. Nevertheless, the room was clean, everything was working perfectly. Breakfast was ok, loved some of the juice and smoothies options they provided, but other than that, its just average. I just realized that there were famous brunch and breakfast places around the hotel during the weekend, as long lines starting to arrive in front of the restaurants. I wouldn’t say its the perfect location because you would need some form of transport to get to the usual places people go to. Overall, had a wonderful stay. Would definitely return for a business trip, not so much for a vacation.

Pointlessly expensive beer
My first time here..reasonably central locality if not right in middle of the city. An attractive hotel from the outside and well appointed public areas. I was given free breakfast on the first morning which was very welcome but I didn’t opt for it on my other days as it was adequate but not really that great. Coffee was good. I booked the basic room, it was very nice if quite small, decent value for money imho. No bath in this room and the bathroom is small, but beautifully finished with a great shower and lovely tiling. The sink is outside, in the bedroom itself. Housekeeping was very attentive and thorough. Slightly obstructed view because of the external features of the building but otherwise fine and these I imagine deflect direct sunlight which can only be a good thing. Unsure if the bed was actually a king size as it felt small, I may be mistaken, perhaps because beds in 5star hotels are often enormous. Lovely, if small, rooftop pool, occasionally busy with no loungers (as it was on the Saturday I was there) as some people like to lie there all day monopolising them to the detriment of others. Superb view from the pool deck. Rooftop bar adjacent is very pleasant too though there’s little shade if you want to avoid the sun. A beer is around 30 myr which I suppose is typical for a good hotel in KL but is far too much. Consider this..if you can buy a similar product for about 8 myr (which is probably marked up 100%) locally in a convenience store, cost would be 4 myr..

Beautiful hotel, but poor location
The hotel itself was very nice. The pool/rooftop bar area was fantastic. We enjoyed having a cocktail and looking at the city skyscrapers. My only disappointment was that it was not in a great area. We thought it would be a little closer to restaurants and the Petronas Towers. If you are wanting to walk to the KLCC area, it is dangerous, hot, and takes a long time. If we knew that it was on the other side of the highway, we would have chosen a different location.

VIP status not Aknowledged
I arrived to the hotel after a sleepless night, so I was hoping for a quick check-in & the usual upgrade that I get at any VIP hotel. However, I was pressured to accept that I hadn't paid for my second reservation. This might be acceptable to some people, but I usually don't like any kind of mistakes & would like to clear things up. If I am wrong I stand corrected & if I am correct the wrong is stood up, but in this case I was too exhausted & the 3 clerks in the front desk seemed to all agree that I was wrong, so I paid in cash for second reservation & asked them to double check (which they did later in the evening & accepted that I was correct all along, without any acknowledgement of anything). I was told no rooms are available for upgrades & I asked them to upgrade me for my second reservation...Which never happened, so I will have to try this hotel again to find out if any VIP upgrades exist at all. The room seemed very neat & well designed which forced me to give the hotel a 4 rating, despite the unfavorable first impression.
