Great location 5 minutes from a wonderful sandy beach. Clean and nicely decorated room with a lovely deck to sit on by the water overlooking the inlet. Quiet, beautiful and peaceful.

This place exceeded our expectations! Views of the inlet from the fully stocked kitchen and dining room. High ceilings and beautiful finishes. We loved the waterfront deck for the guests to just sit and enjoy the view. Chesterman Beach is literally a 2 minute walk and we were able to bike to the town in 15 minutes with the cruisers they provided. It’s flat most of the way which was nice. The location was perfect and the host provided 5 star service. We can’t wait to go back and possibly bring the kids this time.

Beautiful stay at Black Bear
The suite we had was beautiful but small in the kitchen/eating area. This was not a problem for us as we were out a lot. The hosts are very welcoming and gave us great tips on where to go.

Awesome place to stay! Bobbi and her husband were super helpful on where to go and cool places to check out. 100% would go again and recommend it to anyone travelling to Tofino.

From the moment we arrived Bobbi and Jay could not be more welcoming. The property is well cared for and no detail missed. We especially loved the guest deck for morning coffee and the short walk to Chesterman. This was our first time at Black Bear Guesthouse but it certainly won't be our last.

Mediocre at best
This guest house is a 10 minute drive from town which isn’t too bad. But the only view you get is from the guest deck around the other side of the property, you get no view in the room. The 2 guest rooms on this property have zero insulation between them and you can hear EVERYTHING from the other unit. The bed would have been comfortable had it not been so incredibly creaky. All in all..... I wouldn’t go again.
