A nicely run hotel away from typical attractions. Clean and comfortable rooms. Ours happened to have a super cool bathroom with small light colored stones covering the floor with large dark tile stepping stones right where you needed them. Loved it!! It got hot during the evenings (we were there in December) and the heat laid on us like a heavy blanket. I believe all rooms have a fan, but it didn't really help move the air around. We survived with hand fans (randomly purchased at the beginning of our trip) and that helped us get through the hottest times of the evenings. Leaving the windows open at night helps bring in the cooler evening air and the windows are all covered with bug screens to keep you from being eaten alive. Brilliant! An unusual twist to the natural surroundings are two multi colored strobe lights that get turned on each night as it gets dark. Regardless of a party. As is the music... I suspect a request to turn down/off the music would be honored. Every single staff member was truly very cheerful and lovely. Personally, the lights and music distracted from the natural environment, but not enough to complain.
The menu is varied and decent. Due to location, finding another restaurant without a taxi seemed unlikely...though I'm not 100% sure. Food service is slow (common in Palawan) so don't wait until you are ravenous! There are a few chartered excursions for purchase available from the hotel. We enjoyed three hot lazy days here.
