Lovely small hotel in a wonderful Marais location with great potential but slightly lacking in decoration and quality for the price point. We reported some small defects in our ‘superior’ double room to reception- eg rough unpainted patch of plaster on the wall from an incomplete repair job, bath tub not draining, but no action was taken. Also no air con on a 30 degree weekend was tough. Could and should do so much better!

Unfortunately, the room was very small and dark. You’d think this would at least mean the room would keep you cool during June heat, but no. The room was incredibly warm and humid. The fan didn’t do much (nor did the window) and we weren’t able to sleep well. On the bright side, the area is fantastic and the staff were nice.

Room is very small and had no air conditioning. The room felt very outdated. There was a cleaning service that came once a day but they didn’t even empty our trash the 3 nights we stayed there. The bathroom was extremely small. And the shower sprayed water all over the floor. It just felt very cramped and hot in our room. It was fine if you just need a room to stay in, but for a couples vacation, it was uncomfortable and had no luxury.
