It was very disappointing! I stayed there 3 years ago and loved everything about this hotel. Since then, it has gone way downhill. The room was smaller than last time, the door handle fell of the closet fell off, lightbulbs were out, the couches were stained, the service was slow, the restaurant was mediocre. All of this was not the situation when I was there last.

We have stayed at this property before and really liked it. However this time the service was way off. It seemed like they all had an “I don’t care” attitude. For example, one day we had to wait for 2 1/2 hours for our food by the pool. After talking to several waiters, we finally had to speak to the manager to get it resolved. Then, our room was not cleaned one day and when we complained to the front desk, she said she would take care of it (around 7:00 PM) but never really apologized for it. Also, they know that the room would be occupied by 4 people but would always leave 3 towels. Interesting enough, the hotel sent a survey that we could not open. I am not sure if there’s been a change in management but they should definitely work to bring back their old standards.

This was exactly what we needed. After striking out at two hotels in the area due to the condition of those properties and the noise levels, the Carillon was a welcomed retreat. The spa is incredible. The staff was thoughtful and friendly. The room was impecable and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!
