Beautiful little hotel
Very nice hotel in a good location. Hotel is in an old building and is very nicely decorated and rooms are comfortable. There was a problem with the A/C during our stay but this was fixed. Staff were really helpful and able to recommend places to go etc. Breakfast is good - fresh pastries and croissants, fruit, juice, coffee - and early breakfast can be arranged if you are leaving early. There is a wine vending machine in the lobby where you can get a glass of wine! No escalator and there are steps up to the front door so not good if you have mobility problems.

Great Character, Excellent Value
We loved our stay in this 1860s mansion converted to a boutique hotel. Very welcoming staff -- thank you Carole! -- excellent continental breakfast with pastries, yogourt, fruits etc. Room was spacious and comfortable and the public areas have amazingly ornate woodwork and details. Close to many of Montreal's major attractions.

Gracious, Friendly Service
My Dad and I had a very nice stay here. Gracious, friendly service. The proprietor and his staff are the definition of hospitality. I will definitely stay here again. Neighborhood is centrally located and short cab ride to downtown and Old Port. I parked my car at a public garage near by and left it there without worry. You won’t regret staying here.

Very good
Review
The staff was very welcoming and the service was great. The breakfast was outstanding and the owner took pride in serving the best. It was a good experience overall, but it lacked in terms of comfort. The room was overheated at night, and there was no thermostat to control the temperature in the room. The bedding was lacking in comfort, with one of the pillows being very thin. The bed was a double bed size, rather small for two, the mattress was a spring mattress, hard and the springs were making squeaky noises each time one of us moved. When I mentioned it to the owner he flatly dismissed my concerns by saying that they scored always high on their beddings, which made me wonder where I went wrong, until I slept in a normal good hotel bed the following night In another hotel. Overall, a nice historic building, great service and breakfast but lacking comfort in the room.
