This was a lovely short stay on Lake Thun. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was excellent, and it was nice to have a hot breakfast included in the stay. Easily accessible by the 21 bus from Thun station or either of the Interlaken stations (free bus pass with stay). Lots to do along that bus line and wonderful walks from the hotel itself.

Panoramic view of the lake from room 204 though the room layout was a bit awkward. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Unfortunately no air conditioning in the recent heatwave but supplied with a large fan. Note that the hotel is alcohol free so no sitting on the terrace with a cool beer in the evening.

Our rooms was okay, and one of them was upgraded to a view overlooking Lake Thun, which we greatly appreciated. However, the property itself appeared to be poorly maintained. There was no staff attending the bar, and we experienced a long wait during check-in. The hairdryer in our room was broken and had to be replaced upon request. Breakfast was acceptable, especially as it was included in our stay, but there were quite a lot of flies around the food, which was unpleasant. Overall, while lake view was enjoyable, the hotel itself felt understaffed and lacked the level of maintenance and service we had expected.

Bellevue au Lac on Lake Thun Excellent!!

The Restaurant Bellevue au Lac was excellent choice & located on the beautiful lake Thun, it had great views, a wonderful restaurant and friendly & very helpful staff. Free Bus passes were included into town and beds & room cleaned daily. A+++ We are looking forward to staying here again!

There was a mixup with the rooms as we had 11 people travelling together, but the staff were easily able to make accommodations to adjust for us to make the best fit. Such a lovely hotel, I booked it last minute and they were able to give me a room with a lake view and it was gorgeous. Breakfast included which was nice and they are right on the lake, it was breathtaking The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable !
