The grounds are very retro with a 1960s glam vibe. I enjoyed the bikes they offered to move around the property.
However, we booked spa services for our engagement and could not be more disappointed. The spa staff put me in a room by a large washing machine or something that, quite literally, shook the ground. This means that halfway through my massage, the table started bouncing up and down, which completely prevented me from relaxing and eventually gave me a headache.
When we told the staff, they were completely aware of the issues in that room, but had booked me there anyway. They seemed entirely unbothered that they ruined our engagement spa day. They offered some token discount that wasn't even applied when we went to checkout. Completely unprofessional.
Calistoga is a cute town and when we stay there again, we'll just opt for an AirBnb or cottage. Indian Springs "Resort" is not worth the time, energy or money.
