10/10 Exceptional

Very nice stay overall. Friendly staff, convenient location, comfortable and spacious room. Cool bar and coffeeshop on-site. Daily parking is a little pricy, but comparable to other hotels in the same range. The hotel lacks a fitness center, but you can go jogging in downtown Providence.

8/10 Very good

Cute. Friendly staff especially at the coffee shop. The room has window A/C only. The elevator is old school with wire frame. The room was clean but not immaculate. Dust on frame of bed.

Nice looking, not that functional
Front desk staff was great and generously let us check in a few hours early, if it was not for her, I am not sure if I would rate it well. But t was clean, well located, and aesthetically thoughtful. But aesthetics came first, not a lot of thought to function. Did not seem to be a fan in the very tiny bathroom but there was a window, but no screen- not safe. The halls were very dim, with black floors and neon light. Lovely, but would be better to be able to see. Original early 1900 elevator was fun, but the two of us with backpacks could barely fit (we are both pretty small) and we were not able to maneuver well to open the door. Subsequent outings, we took the stairs. Seems that the coffee bar in the hotel was shut down-not closed, just shut down and we were told there were alternatives close by. It would have been thoughtful to have had electric teapot/coffee maker in there tiny room but instead, they put a tray of overpriced snacks It was not bad, but everything was looks over function and very very small - room, bathroom, hallways, elevator. It is understandable in an old building and I would have felt better about it all if the price was a lot less then what they were asking. It was overpriced for what it was.
