FIrst of all: The Staff! Super service minded and friendly - Five Stars. Europe is getting hotter and hotter. Unless you're enjoing sleeping in a warm room, you should not book here mid-July or during an European heat wave. The AC doesn't work properly. The rest of the year: Perfect. "In the middle" of the old city, close to everything, especially the railroad station. I'd love to stay here again, but not during high temperatures.

Had a great stay at this hotel which has a prime location right on the square in the Old town. Hotel was very clean throughout with really friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice facing on to the square which could be noisy with the windows open (others have mentioned this) but didn't really affect me as quite deaf anyway so would opt for the same room. Great choice for the continental breakfast with lots of fresh food and fruit. Overall had a great stay and will definitly stay here again.

Pros - location was excellent. Breakfast and coffee were wonderful! Room was large and the decor was pretty. Cons - the pillows weren’t the best. Also, it’s noisy from the bars below until well after 2am on a Sunday night. Of course, this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but wanted to mention it for light sleepers.

My German friend and I stayed here one night to see the band The Notwist. The hotel is centrally located, near the cathedral and museum and shops on the waterfront. The Junior suite was spacious, had stunning views, and was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is super nice and helpful. They had the adapter for my American electronics. The breakfast was a smorgasbord of everything you could possibly want (breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, fresh fruits, juices). The waiters made our coffee beverages and brought them to our table. It was the perfect stay for our one night in Cologne.
