Terrific central location and good value
Stayed here 3 nights in June. Had quiet room at back from which we could see the Kremlin. Is very close to metro station Biblioteka Lenina but can be difficult to find the correct exit at this large and busy station. Tip: look for a small exit opposite Moscow Manege then turn left and left again. Room had air con and own bathroom but no fridge or electric kettle, but hot (and cold) water was available from a machine on the ground. Furnishings were in keeping with the building style and adequate. Double bend was comfortable. Wi fi was good and staff were helpful and spoke good English. Really enjoyed being so close to Kremlin, Red Square and other sights that was easy to go there at several different times of the day. Did not have any meals there so unable to comment on them.

Excellent location 5* plus
Beautiful quant holiday located just off Red Square and a two minute walk to the Metro. The rooms are beautifully kept in line with Red Square and the surroundings. Spotlessly kept rooms with a shower to die for. The heating was on constantly which is a bonus as it was very cold outside. The breakfast us great value and they serve up until midday. Continental or Russian Style breakfast buffet was delicious. We had one dinner and for value and taste it was well worth it. The staff were extremely helpful, booking excursions when we struggled to do so ourselves. Anna from reception done a fantastic job both before and during our stay as her English was near perfect. All in all a fantastic stat and I hope to visit again.

Great location, confortable, but depends on the room
We stayed two times in the hotel, the first time we got a pretty basic room in the ground floor, it didn't even have the normal things a hotel offers as shampoo or head cap.... The tv was a bit larger than an iPad ... not really useful unless you have binoculars. besides since the room was so close to the restaurant was very lout in in the evenings and mornings as well. And those are the only time slots that a regular turist spends in a hotel righ? The second time we got a room upstairs it was much nicer, they receive us with water an a kettle for tee. The hotel has a great location and is clean, he personal speaks English and that is a big plus in Russia. Nevertheless the fact that there is not toilet for people in the reception is ver inconvenient, science you might need it when you come back to pick up your staff after the check out.

A very average hotel in a supreme location! The place is in walking distance from Kremlin and various other places. Access to Kremlin is literally in the back of the building. Check in went seamlessly and the staff were friendly and responsive. The receptionist kindly printed out my tickets to Kremlin upon request via email. One thing I didn’t like about the hotel is the fact that I got a different room than what was promised. Instead of a one with a view to the State Library I was given a room with a view on an apartment building. Also, I had to put a door hanger on the door to request cleaning in the morning. This is kinda odd considering that it usually goes the other way around.

Still a good hotel to stay
We stayed for 4 days and three nights, we like its location very much, room is clean, but it is not equipped with a refrigerator and dose not have an electrical teapot as most of Europe hotels we had stayed. Reception desk people willing to help but they do not speak good enough English (Well, most of Russian people do not understand and do not speak English at all, that's the most difficult part of the trip). It has nice buffer breakfast. Near by has a underground grocery store and a very nice Russia restarter. It's still a good hotel to stay if you could understand a little Russian.
