Fantastic location, very close to everything and in a good district for foodies. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!

Great for a getaway, not the best for a long trip. It was our first port on a month long holiday so we were travelling pretty heavy however the storage in the rooms is lackluster. Anything beyond carry on luggage will end up on the floor, making the compact rooms feel cluttered and a little uncomfortable. The toilet situation was also awkward, being a frosted glass box that is literally visible from anywhere in the room whether directly or through a mirror. Reception was great however the rooftop bar/breakfast staff didn't seem happy to see us. Housekeeping were friendly and unobtrusive. All up worth 5 stars but not really suited to my expectations.

We stayed at the Axel Two for a week in September. We arrived at 4.30pm to find we had to wait a further 30mins as our room was not ready, when check in opened at 3pm. The hotel charges 13 euro to use the spa and 9 euro for the small gym, daily (this was a first for any hotel I've stayed in). The pool area was crowded and the pool not heated. The double bed in the room was made up of 2 singles and very firm. We encountered issues with the safe in the room locking itself and unable to open it, taking the receptionist 30mins to come to our room to release the lock. The reception didn't have umbrella's for guests to borrow for the rain, the receptionists response was to go buy one. Shower supplies in the room were poor and not replaced daily and the same for the towels. Light switches in the room are not well thought out, the only switches for the toilet area was near the front door. Lift broke on our last night and we had to carry our luggage down 4 flights of narrow stairs on check out. The hotel is not located in a good area, its a 20mins walk or metro ride to any of the main areas. I've only listed the negatives but I struggled to think of any positives, I've stayed in 2 other Axel hotels in Berlin and both seem far better than this hotel. I would not recommend staying here, far better options around Barcelona.

Nice hotel but not as big as Axel and a little further. Room attendance staff were not very attentative. Several times there was not enough shower gel or towels. (1 towel for 2 people). When front desk were requested for more they either didnt answer or didnt deliver. Staff appeared a little lazy. A female manager did a spot inspection while there and found rooftop barman on his phone and wasnt cleaning up the area. You could tell she was not impressed. So mangt expect high standards but i think staff slack off. I think this hotel is lucky it relies on its LGBTQI community but standards (wich cost little) could be improved. Axel hotel is also the more happening place than TWO.

Shower flooding, ground floor room with windows facing noisy children’s park , toiletries have extremely cheap unusual smell,PRC make , Paid for breakfast and had 2 early tours and hotel had no courtesy from Hotel staff to offer any fruit , yoghurts or croissants to room . I asked for tea bags , they didn’t have any. Had no normal tea bags But the rooms had condoms provided with toiletries ..?? We arrived at 130 pm on our check in day and were not allowed room early. Please stick to arrival time ,at this hotel there is No early check ins. Overall I would not stay here again. Not recommend to my friends .

10/10 for everything except external noise. If you have a room close to the ground floor and near the street you can hear every car go past and everyone talking outside. That and the pool area was quite small. Otherwise a perfect hotel in every way

Really nice boutique style hotel. Great decor. Lovely pool and steam room. Staff were great, really friendly. Not advertised as a gay hotel on hotels.com, (we are a hetero couple) only on the Axel website. Mixture of ages and couples gave a great atmosphere. Would 100% stay here again and recommend.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and found it be an excellent choice for Barcelona. It's near the airport bus stop, next to a subway station, in a good neighbourhood with convenient stores nearby. Many of the rooms face a little neighbourhood park.
