It was interesting staying on such an old Estate. Accommodation in the former Blacksmith's cottage, given that right next door was an original unrestored building at present used for firewood, gave us an idea of what things must have been like all those years ago. Our tour of the House was very informative - thank you, Helen. Our stay was very much enjoyed. Lunch at the Nigel Peck Centre cafe was very good.

A beautiful old cottage in good condition and clean on a large fenced yard. Great wood heater, beautiful views and lovely large areas to walk. Note stairs in Coachhouse are very narrow, steep and curved, bedrooms upstairs and bathroom & toilet downstairs. Very peaceful & great to relax.

Historic property stay
Ww really enjoyed staying at this historic property. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. It was a cold night but we could keep warm in the cottage. It's only a 5 minute drive into Longford where there are numerous dining options. I would certainly recommend staying at Woolmers Estate.

Peace & tranquility in colonial charm
The Gardener’s Cottage is just gorgeous to stay in. We had 2 nights and could have stayed there for many nights. Beautiful serenity. We were able to do the self-guided walk of the property after closing time. (House visit is still at set times at a slight discount). No wifi and we couldn’t get the TV to work but no problem. Longford is a great local town too.

Great atmosphere in historic cottage and estate
Lovely peaceful location not far from Longford. I particularly enjoyed access to all the farm sheds very interesting collection of old farm machinery. Check in very easy and well explained. Only negative would be bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs.
