Sirens was a pot luck find, but luck was clearly in our favour. First up, the B&B is in a good position only a short walk from Katoomba's main drag and 10 mins if that from the station; Leura is a cab ride away.
The building itself is almost a museum, filled to the gills with lamps and ornaments, books and the like. All of which gave it a quirky but cosy atmosphere.
The room was a good size with two (!) bathrooms and a big, comfy bed. No tea and coffee in the room but you could get that from the breakfast room 24/7. Breakfast was a feast, with lots of cold choices and then a massive slap up full English made by Paula, who was a great host.
But perhaps the fondest memory of the weekend was throwing a log on the fire place in the living room and drinking a glass of wine on a cold night while reading Victorian ghost tales. B&B bliss.
