Pulled up in a modest-sized camper van. Reception was immediately unfriendly, unhelpful. Room was right on a major thoroughfare. I've been staying in NZ hotels for three months, and they are, across the board, spectacular. This wasn't a bad motel by American standards, but by NZ standards it was the worst I've stayed in.

Our stay was very good it was nice an quite room was very tidy and comfortable parking was right outside my door swimming pool was perfect for the hot day and service was very friendly highly recommend Portmans motor lodge to anyone.
