Family stay
The lodge was in need of updating, the under counter fridge/freezer was defective the freezer door was off and unable to use this compartment. Plug sockets were allover the place with one half way along the single bed which was no good for my young child Very mismatched layout but was sufficient for a two night stay

Cute Cottage
Cute cottage within walking distance of Lake Tekapo and Church of the Good Shepherd. Living, dining and room with single bed were in close proximity to each other and heated up easily while it took some time for the room with double bed. Only drawback is the fridge/ freezer wasnt working that well and ended up thawing all our frozen/ chilled food. We might have been better off leaving them outdoors as everything was frosted over. Hahaha...

Checking in was easy. Unit is warm and cosy. Location is good, walking distance to the Church of Good Shepherd. We could see the milky way outside our unit without having to walk to the church.

This property is not as advertised. 3 bedroom cottage - the bedrooms are not all in the house. Beds in sheds outside, away from the main house. One toilet inside the house making for wet trips inside across a slippery deck in the rain overnight. Disturbing wiring and no smoke alarms in outside rooms. The house is run down and leaks (bathroom and kitchen) . Altogether a very disappointing situation.

The quaintest cottage in a beautiful little Autumn toned street. Easy walk to Church of Good Shepherd, lake foreshore and commercial area. In a town full of tourists, the cottage was a welcome haven. Small but cosy and with all necessities. Recommended.
