We stayed in the Seashell room at Tarpon Tale Inn and will absolutely be back. Joe greeted us on arrival and walked us through all the amenities available to guests — beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, even a beach cart — which made packing so much easier. Since we drove to Sanibel, it was a relief not to have to cram all that gear into the car. The Seashell room itself is cute and just the right size: a queen bed, a small comfy chair with a coffee table, and a little dining table, plus a mini fridge/freezer and microwave. There's also a nice patio out front (bring bug spray — Sanibel bugs are no joke!). The location is a huge plus. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, so we skipped the hassle and expense of the island's limited beach parking entirely — we loaded up the provided beach cart and walked right down. A handful of shops (gifts, ice cream, restaurants) are within easy reach too. All in all, I highly recommend Tarpon Tale Inn. It's a small, family-run inn on Sanibel that gives you nearly everything you need for an easy, relaxing beach trip.

Great location about a five minute walk down quiet beach road to the beach and the lighthouse. Also the lighthouse shopping plaza nearby was a great source of excellent food and ice cream! Comfortable room with a great staff! Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We especially appreciated the availability of the outdoor shower to clean off from the beach before coming inside. In addition, our gracious hosts allowed us to leave our car parked there after checkout so we could enjoy one last visit to the beach. Also, they allowed us to use their cart and chairs and afterwards use the outdoor shower, all after checkout! We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed a superb week! Staff was extremely helpful, our room was clean and quiet. The inn provided beach chairs, towels, and carts for the 10 minute walk to the beach, even a shell cleaning station. Plenty of bikes for guests to use. We had a short 2 day stay in Sanibel, and Tarpon Tale was the perfect spot for our family of 4. Easily walkable to some dining, shopping, and nice beaches, and the complimentary bikes give you the ability to explore the whole island while leaving the car parked. Cannot say enough good things about the Tarpon Tale Inn! Joe and Connor went above and beyond welcoming us and communicating with us to make sure our stay was perfect. Very clean, food, coffee, ice cream, and shopping across the street and right next door. The free bikes and beach stuff were awesome. They have literally thought of EVERYTHING! Even a shell washing station. Will DEFINITELY be back!
