Funky hotel
Quirky fun hotel. Very noisy at night, every night. Reception staff semi helpful but often seem very busy. Great breakfast. Restaurant major Simo not very friendly. If they give you a table it is like they are doing you a favour even though half empty. I think a bit over priced.

Great but noisy
The Dean is a great hotel and the breakfast, Sophie's restaurant and lobby bar are all fabulous. The room are cute and quirky. However you must be prepared to sleep poorly at night due to the noise of the night clubs which does not stop until 4:30 am. I had stayed here before and the noise had not bothered me too much but it seemed louder this time so may be the room was closer to the clubs. I stayed for business for 2 days so was tired at work but then stayed the weekend. They supply ear plugs in every room but I can't sleep well with them in. So a great hotel but you need to be aware and make a decision to sacrifice some sleep.

A great stay at The Dean
The hotel is amazing. It has a lot of style and the additions are fantastic. The room was very clean and lived up to the photographs. The record player with U2 was a nice touch. The website states that there is a nightclub onsite and provides ear plugs. Yes this makes noise until the early hours but if you are prepared and take note of the website... it doesn't create a problem (well it didn't for us anyway). The staff were extremely helpful, they let us use the computer in reception to print out tickets we had purchased, we were allowed to use the retro bikes on site to explore the city which was also a very nice touch. If I needed to make a complaint I would say that there needs to be normal sized mugs in the room for Tea, the only ones provided were for the coffee machines which meant we had to have a shot of tea rather than a cup. For me, this is the only downfall to an extremely enjoyable 3 days at The Dean. The staff are fantastic and should be rewarded for how good they are.

Dean review
Unfortunately we did nit do enough research before booking this hotel; the presence of late night clubs in the immediate area makes for a difficult sleeping situation. For that reason I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values their sleep. Other than that it was fine...

Hotel and staff were fab!! We were warned when checking in that the area can be very loud and social but honestly wasn’t that bad at all! Great stay
