Hotel stay at the Hampton’s
I was with my elderly mother, we got a room close to the elevator, the room we got reeked of weed especially the bathroom, maybe maids getting a lil high, I called front desk they said not for us to go down that they would come to us immediately to give us a key for different room, we waiting for about twenty mins before they came up, I had to call front desk again, they said someone should have been up there already it was until I started to raise my voice they sent someone up immediately, we got a different room on a different floor by the time we got settled in my mother was so tired from all that waiting and inhaling all that smell of weed got her sick, the hotel was good but wasn’t impressed with the front desk at all 😡😡

The hotel and room were nice. But there was no way to make the room cooler and it was very warm and uncomfortable in our room, especially while we were trying to sleep. They turned the air conditioner off for the winter and had no fan at all. We wouldn’t stay again just based on how hot it was. The breakfast provided was also disappointing. We were given a bag with a store bought egg muffin sandwich, a muffin, water, granola bar and apple. We got to choose bacon or sausage for the muffin, but no choice of muffin which were all random kinds, including ones with nuts, inside the bags. Since they normally have a buffet, I expected more for the breakfast, and would at the very least have expected choices being available of anything that was different in the bags.

Attention to details
This hotel did a superb job of keeping us feeling safe and protected during these Covid-19 times. The staff from front desk to cleaners were very helpful and courteous providing useful information. The location was great although access from the west along Melville street was a bit tricky. Best to arrive from the east along Melville street.

It was a regular hotel. Location food. Clean. Bagged covid breakfast. Pleasant service though I see the chain is trying to do away with front staff and move to self checkin. Personally I liked being greeted upon entering a hotel
