Reception very welcoming, huge one bedroom apartment, an amazing view over the Fitzroy River, three eateries downstairs and plenty close by on the river and in the town. Decent size washer and dryer to get laundry up to date if you've been on the road. The pool area has a beautiful tropical surrounding.

My stay in The Empire was a Happy one. The front desk team was exceptional. The room was clean and the bed on the quieter side, though the room itself is river facing. Level 6 is a lot quieter than levels 3 or 4. Housekeeping has been a bit inconsistent and calls for improvement. They leave cleaning equipment behind or sometimes forget to replace the teatowel. The coffee machine was unusable because the coffee pods were never replenished. I have had to get the front desk staff to supply the pods on more than one occasion and they gladly obliged.
