In centre of concrete jungle in finance district!
The positives: room was perfect, super comfy bed, immaculately clean, all mod cons. Fridge in room. Bathroom was modern too. Public areas immaculately clean, cannot fault the cleanliness or decor. Centrally located in finance district, you’re in the middle of a concrete jungle. Five minutes walk in either direction you are close to some shops.head down the hill and there’s a plethora of hotels and casinos. You are able to walk over walkways to get to the promenade and if you’re able to walk you can to Casco Viejo. (But it’s a fair walk) Negatives: traffic! Constant traffic and beeping of horns day AND night. Bring earplugs. Breakfast. Poor poor choice for a breakfast & if you’re not down there at 6am, the Chinese patrons are all over it like locusts and there’s slim pickings by 7.30am. The do not seem to replenish the food and there is little by way of choice (just my experience) My main issue was the unhelpfullness of the female reception staff. Yes I know I’m blonde and blue eyed but to talk about my appearance to another member of staff in front of me in Spanish assuming I don’t understand, is to me quite unacceptable I’m afraid. The advert says they’re bilingual - they are not. If you don’t speak Spanish, you will struggle. I spent 3 nights here and frankly, that was enough. Unless you’re here on business, find somewhere in the old town, they’re much friendlier there.

Poor 2.0
When we arrived we realised the lobby/restaurant/bar area was too air-conditioned to the point we needed jackets. The room was nice but we had no hot water nor Wi-Fi. 2 different men were sent to confirm neither in our room and we were offered a diff room the next day. We were in a room next to kids partying and had no sleep half the night. Next day breakfast was minimal and things ran out by 9am. The room I was shown to move to had no hot water nor Wi-Fi. I then spent nearly an hour in the one lift that worked checking out rooms. Nine had Wi-Fi. Only rooms ending 1 to 6 had it. Round a corner on every floor it drops out. I was told there were no rooms in the main section so we packed and left. I asked for 2 nights refund and something in writing to confirm we had left after only one awful night. I was told "we don't give checkout letters". "Take it up with Expedia who you booked with". I then spend an hour in Panama calling in the U.K. trying to sort out a refund. This is now on its way! Should be instant like payment is.

Very good 8.0
Affordable Hotel, small but clean rooms.
The hotel is centrally located, plenty of restaurants if you don’t mind walking 10-15 min. for a good one in the heat, or you can take an Uber. The WiFi in the room was unreliable which is a big problem if your phone plan doesn’t have international calling. The room phone was hard to make work as well, no dial tone. The staff was friendly, the rooms are pretty clean except they need to vacuum more then they did. It is supposed to be a smoke free hotel but one of the rooms next to us always had the hallway smelling of cigarette smoke, maid service should have brought that to manager. There was two of us in the room, and a couple times they only left one towel and one washcloth. Breakfast buffet was included in the price and was fine. Pool area was also very pretty and nice to have. Elevators are very small and stuffy but the wait was never very long. The lobby is decorated nicely and they have an outside patio off of the lobby. I would stay here again, overall it was a descent hotel.

Exceptional 10.0
Nice Hotel
Overall I liked the hotel and my room. The location of the hotel is very good, close to many stores and public transportation means. The room was big and it had a small desk for my laptop. There was a small coffee machine with good free coffee :D. It would be better if they provide the guests with the comfy slippers for the bath. The breakfast was very simple and I think it could be way better (with serving more different options). The pool is so small and I didn't find the water very clean. However, the gym was nice! The only problem that I had with the hotel was its internet speed in my room. It kept disconnecting and I wasn't able to have a stable connection! Since I was there for a conference I had to go to the conference hotel to be able to do my work on my laptop and have video call with my family...

Great Place to Stay. Rock Solid 4 Star Hotel!!!
The Exexutive is a rock solid 4 Star hotel at a very good price! I did not know what to expect and was o Pleasantly surprised by the place. The staff were courteous seasoned professionals. The room was nice. Very comfortable bed. Though, I would prefer a King. It was a "small queen" and I am broader at the mid section than I used to be...jajajajaja Folks have mentioned the shower. It is incredible!!!!!!!! I have stayed in a dozen different hotels in Panama City, including two of the five star ones, and the shower at the Executive is the best, by far. The buffet breakast is yummy, and the wait staff are all attentive professionals. The fresh brewed cappacinos come with the meal. I did not use the pool, but there were a lot of families there, with lots of kids, that were having a grand ole time! I had mentioned breakfast: It was actually quite festive! There were a lot of families with lots of kids. A great energy early that morning really. The place has been around for almost 50 years and I think several generations of Panamanians have enjoyed the faciluty
