Life in Doncheng District (Confucious)
IT was very nice. The only issue is the when I booked the photo used was the nostalgia in another part of Beijing. However, I was very happy that I stayed here because it was much more interesting, was easy to walk around, the people were friendly, and the hotel staff were excellent. I was able to take some great photos of 'Life as it happens'.

Decent hotel in one of the hutongs in Beijing
It's a nice midrange hotel located in one of the hutongs in the Dongcheng District in Beijing. It is a little difficult to find because of its location in a hutong. There is also a hotel close by with a similar name of this hotel so you may be confused by that. I stayed for 4 nights. The bedroom was large. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. Like the hotel's name says, it does have a historical and nostalgic feel to it. The hotel is right by a school that has a large basketball court. There is also a black gate by the hotel entrance. I only mention this because it will help you find it if you stay at this hotel. The hotel's address according to the hotel's brochure is No. 57 Jiaodaokoubeisantiao Doncheng District of Beijing. The staff was helpful but their English skills were minimal but they try their best to help you. The room has Wi-Fi but I couldn't get it to work on my tablet. It worked fine on my smartphone. I wouldn't recommend for first time tourists to China. This hotel is only for people that are willing to step out of their comfort zones and willing to try something different. Last thing, according to the hotel brochure they call it Nostalgia Hotel Beijing.

The hotel was very nice-clean and comfortable- and the staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is the best part! You can wander around for days trying the different foods and going into the little shops. We really enjoyed our time here!

Good hotel.
A very nice friendly hotel in a central area near the Lama temple and Confucius temple. Its handy for 2 different metro stations and I would recommend Apple maps to find it as it is a bit fiddly first time. The staff were lovely, breakfast very good and I would use this hotel again.

Absolutely fantastic service! The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's walking distance to major tourist spots and affordable restaurants. And they do play the "nostalgia" theme seriously, which added another layer of fun and joy to the trip. Will come back for my next trip.

Very welcoming staff. Nice room and great location. Very good breakfast buffet for a great price. It is in a very historic area of Beijing. Many good places to eat nearby.
