WE were disappointed because the price is higher than most other places advertised in Hope. That led us to believe that the motel would be more up to date. It really needs some tender loving care although it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Don't expect too much.

Owner is a delight! Room is clean, comfy and kitschy. Shows its age, but without sacrificing its charm. For an overnight stay on a highway pitstop, you cant ask for more.

Good choice
Second time staying here. For the price, I think it is a good choice. I like the duplex style chalets that eliminate stomping above or too many neighbours. It is in a highway but it is reasonably quiet. The furtniture and accessories are dated but that is to be expected in a small motel of that age. For a few nights, definitely a good choice. Close to downtown.

Would not recommend this place
I find that a lot of places have done some detailed cleaning since covid and are over-all cleaner. Not so here. The bathroom wall grossed me out with all the water runs. The light fixtures had a lot of dust on them. I asked to borrow an iron and they don’t have irons available at all. The lady wasn’t even apologetic about it. We would have stayed another night if the room was cleaner. Oh! I didn’t mention yet, the coffee cups smelled of some kind of cleaner. I can’t imagine using it to drink. The bed was comfy, but that was all that was good.

The owner was kind of nice but also kind of stand offish. It didn’t seem like he cared for my business all that much. The suite was outdated and smelt. A fresh coat of paint would do wonders.

You do generally get what you pay for and this property is no different. It is pretty old and dated but the room was very clean, the bed was pretty comfortable (pillows were pretty flat though) and the owner was great. For the $75 I paid to stay here I would not hesitate to return.
