When we arrived Hotel Mystay it was raining, the staff was not very friendly. Other hotels provide umbrellas, Mystay did not provide umbrellas for guests instead had flimsy ones for sale. Upon checking out of Mystay it was still raining, although the hotel was very close to the airport we were not provided transportation, the staff stated that transportation was not provided for us as part of a large group. Several people in the group were not checking out and going to the airport at the same time and this should not have been a problem, even if there had been several guests in the group leaving to the airport there was no reason they could not have made several trips to the airport as the airport was so close! Additionally, the hotel does not have cabs nearby and would call cabs for our group instead they told us to hail cabs as they drove by which was difficult to do when it was early morning in the dark and rain and no cabs nearby. Lastly, while we waited in the small lobby the staff would not allow us sit or stand on the right side where there where empty chairs when there was no other place to sit or stand.

Close to Haneda airport
The room was clean and quiet. Average size by Japanese standards. I requested a non-smoking room and the first room they gave me reeked of smoke. They would not give me a different room until they had gone up to the room themselves. The second room was fine. The breakfast selection was good. Be sure to buy your breakfast ticket the night before because it is more expensive the morning of. .The morning shuttle left promptly at the scheduled times so don't be late. Not crowded when I left at 6 am and another morning at 9 am. They will pick you up at Haneda airport but only in the evenings. The hotel staff would not inform me of this. But the shuttle driver is very friendly and helpful. The first pickup time is around 6:20 pm at a certain spot at Terminal !?. So ask Haneda information desk where it is and time. If you take the Keikyu subway, the google map made me think it might be a long walk. It was not far from the hotel. The taxi from Haneda to the hotel was around $17 US.

Fair 4.0
Disappointing stay.
We decided to stay in this hotel before we leave Japan because it’s very close to Haneda airport, 20-25 minutes by bus or taxi. We just thought it would be good for us to relax here the last night of Japan travel. When we checked in, it seemed to be nice here with bar and restaurant at the ground floor. But we got quite disappointed and uncomfortable once we came in the room. The room looked so dirty with so many scratches on the wall and much dust on the table. Also, much of stain was on the wall in the shower room. The most awful thing was that the blanket covers and sheets were so dirty. I asked someone to replace them with new ones but they didn’t come to change them immediately. And it’s because of this humid and hot weather during summer in Japan though we saw bugs in the room. There’re many hotels offering more reasonable room charges around this area. So we should’ve chosen the other place. This is at least what happened in our room. It might be different when you would stay here. A front lady was good and giving us good service even though it was very busy at front. This hotel provides guests with a shuttle bus service running to airport. It’s absolutely in a good location.

Very good hotel to stay a night between flights
This hotel is located in Haneda, outside of the airport. You can easily reach the place by monorail from Haneda. From the Tenkubashi station there is 10 minutes walk to hotel over the river. Take main exit 1 and you see the bridge. Just follow the main street and hotel is on the left side. Rooms and bathrooms are much bigger than in MyStays or in Tokyo hotels typically. There is restaurant downstairs. Most visitors are foreign tourists. There is free shuttle bus to Haneda airport terminals. I have seen happier and more welcoming reception service in some other Tokyo hotels but other than that everything was excellent. All the reception people were fluent in English and can speak some other major languages as well. There are some ok small bars and food joints in the nearby small streets. I highly recommend this place for short term stay between the flights near Haneda airport. For tourists who can spend a day or two, the Haneda monorail endpoint Hamamatsucho area is better place. Hamamatsucho has direct railway lines to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo stations.

Good and Bad about this hotel
The hotel is new and the room is for business man and is huge considered in Japan standard. However, one reception lady has stuck-up attitude (behavior like American) and as not Japanese (that is one bad effect of the hotel. I hope the hotel management needs to look into this lady behavior. The hotel bus shuttle service is only limited to certain hour only. Last Bus in morning is 10:40am. I wonder how they come up to think many customer don't fly off in the afternoon. Getting to the hotel via Train is not quite difficult but no bus there. Traveling out to the other area is also quite easy (about 5-10min from hotel) if you walk to and understand their train system. There are 2 quite cheap eating house (Ramen and Beef Rice) nearby that open to 4am. So, no worries of getting hungry.
