The least expensive place in town!

Overall, it was a pleasant place, and our stay was comfortable! I like their kitchen very much!

    Great stop over.

Great stop over. Clean comfortable safe. Felt better staying here than hotel due to COVID 19. Maybe 1 suggestion to wash the cloth shower curtain occasionally 😜

    Very nice, with a caveat.

Well, if you are looking for "quirky," this is your place. (Just a view at the outside confirms that.) The room was small but served my purpose just fine. The bed was great! It reminded me of traveling through Europe in college. They nailed the "hostel" part, but it was actually clean. ;) No complaints. You should be aware of this, though. (It wasn't a deal-breaker for me.) They wear their politics on their sleeves, and their politics are way over on the left. If you are politically on the left, this is your place. If you are on the right, you may be put off by all the banners and such (nothing verbal!). Just be aware. My unasked-for opinion is to back off on the preaching, right OR left, and just give me a nice place to stay. Alienating people at a place of business is an interesting strategy, to say the least. For what it's worth, I'd write the exact same thing for a right-leaning establishment. Otherwise, a great stay! I'd stay again.

It is comparatively low price. Cleaner than what the outside looks. I would say it is more for those who are single or tourists and down for meeting new friends. It was not for a family.

    Hostel Stay for Sierra Hiking

Awesome stay! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a convenient spot to do some hiking in the Sierras. Very close to some good local restaurants and the hostel has free bikes for use for short rides.

Such a welcome escape from real life! Staff was flexible and friendly, as were other guests. The house was clean and comfortable, as was my private room (with private bathroom!). Couldn't have asked for a better experience
