A disappointing stay
The photos that were displayed upon registration had very little to do with the room we had. The room had water damage issues and in need of renovation and update. The staff was lovely and helpful.

8/10 Very good

Nice little place to stay for a night.
The room was a little dated and didn't have many options to plug phones in, but overall pretty clean and comfortable. The room they put us in was on the end of the row so we had a nice little patio so that was a nice suprise. The pool/hot tub area could use a little cleaning and fixing up but the overall experience was worth the money!

No privacy
The vertical blinds had several pieces that were missing. You could see right into our room. We called the office, which is at the motel next door. They said they couldn’t do anything about this problem until 7:00 am in the morning. We had to go back and forth several times before they finally changed our room. I would have given up and just left, but my husband finally convinced them to put us in another room.

This needs to be torn down!
Well, The truth is I went to this "Motel" and the parking lot was blocked by a wrecker. The front office was filled with old furniture and closed. The sign said to check in next door. This place should be torn down. It was disgusting. The pics on-line must be from 1960! I spent $300 and stayed at the Clarion! DONT STAY HERE, SO SAD for Mackinaw that this place still takes reservations!!!

Would Not Recommend
Where do i begin ? The hotel was musty smelling upon entrance and the carpets felt damp. The blinds were missing from bathroom window which made me uncomfortable since it was ground floor. The blinds in room were missing slats so someone could see in. Plus did not work and wouldnt hold into socket. Internet was nonexistent and i called they said they would reboot but never got any signal. The remote didnt work to the TV. Honestly the whole motel needed redone and the only thing that it had going for it was the view of Lake Huron. Very Displeased and Wouldn't Recommend !!!!

I will not stay here again
An older hotel definitely past its prime. I tried to shower in the morning only to discover there was no hot water. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone and that the rooms on each side of me did have hot water. I spoke with a gentleman from the room next door as he was packing to leave and he informed that their hot water did not work either. After half an hour with no one showing up to fix the water I went to the front desk and they gave me access to a different room in order to shower and it also had no hot water. They then gave me access to a room in a different building (there are four hotels managed by the same company); it had hot water but it had not yet been cleaned after the guests left that morning. Simply disgusting.

It's definitely a place to sleep.
This place looks like it is going to fall apart any minute. None of the amenities listed were actually available, except cable tv. The shower head looks as if it was set up for a child and was coated in grime. I had to kneel to get my hair wet. It was certainly a place to stay. The A/C unit in the room was barely working and coated in dust and grime as if it had never been cleaned ever. Not worth the price, should have been 50$ a night, but I guess they can charge what they do because of the location. The only good thing about this place was the little deck attached to my room that was facing the Mackinac Bridge and the attendant in the office was SUPER nice.
