Big NO. Stay away from this place. I thought The Regency KL had a nice ring to it but no! I let slide the fact that this hotel is right in front of a wet market. Our room was visibly dusty and untidy. Stains on the carpet, sheets and towels. TV in our room was one of those old types, no remote control and definitely no cable TV. No wifi! The very basic of creature comforts that you expect even from the smallest of inns like toothbrush, toothpaste and other toiletries were not provided. We let those slide. But what we could not take was the dirty, dark, rusty water that greeted us in the shower on the early morning of our 3rd day in the hotel. The way they handled the situation was appalling with no other solution than to keep the water running for 30mins. 3 hours later, the water still had rust particles and we couldn't go on with our day because of their horrible facilities. Front desk promised to send bottled water but failed to deliver so we decided to check out and demand a refund. While front desk ladies were apologetic, the manager never said a single sorry to us and was arrogant when she faced us. I'm very patient and forgiving and if the water incident did not happen, I would have finished my stay there and probably leave them a 1 out of 5 rating instead of a big ZERO. What made it worse was that there was a nearby Hilton budget hotel less than 50 meters away that's almost giving me the finger every time I look out the window for the bad decision I've made

Very good 8.0
I arrived the hotel 16th August 2019, the reception staff was polite and friendly, how every checking took a while. The facilities urgently requires an upgrade, from the lift to the rooms, the air con was not cool. The only plus for me is the swimming pool which I really enjoyed.

Cockroach! Even on 14/F!
I will not come here again! Poor surroundings hygiene. Lack of maintenance. Poor roomservice food quality. The menu marked chefs recommandation next to the 'chow guey teow' but it turns out some starch doughs in thick starch soup! Lack of staff to serve and clean. I called for laundry but no one answered the phone, from 10:30pm til next morning so I brought down to reception by myself. reception replied washing machine was down until after a while they collected my laundry bag, obviously they dont know what was going on. And they fail to recommend any laundry shop nearby. Unstable wifi. Smelly tap water. No shower curtain so water is everywhere after use. Noisy lifts that scared me. Staffs must be poorly treated! In front of wet market, food stalls and surrounded by rubbish. The road in front of valet is always jammed. Only the staffs at breakfast show welcoming smiles.

Fair 4.0
Central KL hotel, but a not good choice right now
Chose this hotel for one night business stay because of central location, free parking, had a pool, and was low cost. Photo's looked great. Room had great view of city, but otherwise lots of issues... Phone in room did not work, TV was circa 2000 CRT with broken arial and only fuzzy local channels, carpet was stained, had to fix toilet flush, etc. Be careful with room lock - does not lock automatically when you close the door. Lifts are very strange, and some not working. Bed was okay, but be aware there is a mosque very nearby so you'll get an early morning wake-up call. Pool was okay but small and missing tiles. The rest of this floor is totally deserted with empty rooms, kind of strange. I think maybe it's under renovation? No sun beds or any other facilities. Didn't try the hotel food or wifi.

Good 6.0
It was a disappointment, inspite of the good view.
Disappointment, inspite of good view of the Twin Tower and the PWTC in the evening hour from the hotel room and the swimming pool area. The location is not adequate for some foreign visitors as it is in an alley of wet market stalls and the hotel is directly facing the main wet market centre.Busy road with heavy traffic flow of cars visiting the wet market place. No taxi call service and need to walk out to the main road to manage yourself, and could be much of a hussle with luggages.Coffee shop service is slow, even with can drinks order, taking much longer then normal 10 mins.Central aircon is not cold, and need to get use to early morning call, due to the mosque nearby calling for prayer. The path leading to the swimming pool area could be tidy up with some pot of plants to beautify the environment, but not like a storage area of other items. It is just a waste of nice view, but some inadequate area that can b improved for some acceptable visitors, that like the more local atmosphere if they are visiting KL for the first time as a good impression of the stay.
