Excellent Hostel
Second stay here, staff are friendly and helpful. Impeccably clean rooms and good size for a hostel. The local area is quiet but only a short walk from the main train line. Will definitely stay again.

Great little stop-over..
This place had everything I needed for a little stop-over before heading on to Kyoto.. In a little alley near a bunch of great ramen joints, and conveniently located within walking distance of a station, it has the feel of a back-packer hostel.. The room I had was a little small, but that said, had everything I needed (TV which I didn't use and a fridge for cold beers, etc.) Deep shower/bath combo, comfy bed.. A heap of great little polaroid shots of people having a whole heap of fun, shame I wasn't there on a more livelier night.. :) All in all, a great little out of the way place to rest and have some fun.. :)

Excellent hostel, will return.
The hostel was great, it looks quite new and everything is really clean and tidy. It's my first time staying in hostels and I really like this one. The room was really big and everyone had sufficient personal space. The bed was comfortable too. But one thing about this hostel is its location, it's kind of creepy to go into the alley late at night alone. But other than this everything was excellent

Good Value
My wife and I were impressed with this hotel. Was fantastic having the kitchen facilities and staff were very helpful. Room was small but practical and Ueno is a cool part of the city to stay. The hotel is on a quiet street - so it is peaceful but still central.
