Taichung Kiwi Express Hotel - Chenggong Rd

Great reasonably-priced hotel in a typical "old Taichung" neighborhood at 15mn by foot from TRA Taichung Station. I had a nice and fairly spacious room with city view (even from the bathroom). Nice buffet breakfast too. Just across the street is a famous local temple. Taichung Park is 5mn away by foot.

It's a simple hotel yet well equipped. The breakfast are sufficient. Overall we are satisfied with our stay here.

hostel experience was good enough, was used just as place to sleep. there was a nice big window near the bed, so i could see outside (thus did not feel claustrophobic). shower and bathroom is ok,what do you expect? location is minutes away from the Second Market, where one can grab some good local foods (such as the pork rice, radish pancakes, iced black tea etc). there was a nice large assortment for the free breakfast, although i was already stuffed from the second market breakfast and did not partake. the highlight of this stay was to be able to chat with the two wonderful members of the night staff (front desk) Elise and Ivy who had good cheer and were able to tell me about places to go.

Great location, good service but small rooms and not a a good value

Lovely budget option in Central area of Taichung. Spacious room. Walls a bit thin, but neighbours generally quiet. Free bikes to rent
