The view from Tiki Villas is so beautiful, incredible pool/restaurant views in particular but also from each villa, they are all so well situated. The recent renovation is really well done with fantastic indoor/outdoor bathrooms and super comfortable beds. I think some finishing touches are still being done but I have no doubt it will be fantastic when finished. Staff are all friendly and the food is excellent - wonderful breakfast and really inventive dinner dishes.

Beautifully renovated property (it reopened in January after extensive property upgrades). The villas were beautifully designed. The views are stunning. The pool area was lovely. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff was very friendly. No major complaints whatsoever. A few minor things to improve, but not enough to give less stars (and the staff mentioned that they were still finalizing some things due to furniture shipments delayed, etc). The pool area could use a few more lounge chairs; the main lobby area could use a bit more decor (plants, more tables, pillows, etc) to fill out the space and create a more intimate feeling.

This place has an outstanding view from the infinity pool, exceptional personal service from all the staff and is in a great location for exploring Uvita, Ballena and Dominical. We loved our stay at Tiki Villas. The properties were well furnished and in an idyllic location and the restaurant and pool area is exceptional. Admittedly, you can here some road noise on occasions in the distance but this is almost inevitable along this part of the coast. Also, it's nothing compared to the noise of the wildlife 😀. There was a problem when we booked in, as we were supposed to have a double double villa but due to some issue with their bookings, they had overbooked these type of villas but instead they offered us two double bed villas at no extra cost. This annoyed at the time as we had booked some months ago and I asked to see the manager to explain the reasons for this. The man at reception, Gerald, was apologetic and went to see the manager. Gerald came back and stated again we had been offered the other Villa at no extra cost and I could cancel if I wished. However, it would have been nice if the Manager himself could have come over and spoken to me, as I subsequently realised he was only seated in the restaurant close by. Anyway, we did not let this spoil our stay and we ate at the restaurant every evening and food was excellent. In addition, our breakfast every morning, which we hadn't realised was complementary, was also exceptional. The staff were also very helpful. I've mentioned Gerald but I would also like to pass on a special thanks to Walter, who served us in the restaurant most evenings. He catered for our every need and was very professional

Had a free weekend with the girlies during our month-long study abroad trip, and we could not have made a better choice than Tiki Villas!! The hotel staff, the view, the pool and spa services—absolutely no complaints from any of us. From the get go, we were treated so kindly; Nancy upgraded our hotel room when we arrived so we’d have more space, and the room was lovely. We had an indoor AND outdoor shower, and a balcony with a view of the ocean. It’s genuinely the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. The restaurant staff were also so kind and patient considering we’re a group of girls who are fairly new to speaking Spanish, and they always met us halfway (or more) with communication! The food and drinks were always amazing. They gave me a bag of dry rice when my phone got soaked at Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, and I was so grateful. They went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and did not need anything. I definitely hope to return one day and stay for much longer. Two days was not enough. Tiki Villas has definitely been solidified as one of my best experiences in Costa Rica, and I genuinely don’t know how anywhere else I go will be able to top this place!

Deceiving!

I am sure 10 years ago the hotel was great. It’s just run down since it’s 2012 travel awards they received. Staff was nice but room was out dated and affected by the years of humidity. Firstly it was a challenge to locate the property. Zero signage indicating its location distance/direction to villas. Locks on doors were not functional for the patio and outdoor shower. The bed was probably the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. Sink water unsafe for consumption (teeth brushing, face washing, etc.) Property at night is not well lit, especially in the parking lot that is a distance from the hotel reception. Overall just needs to be maintained and cleaned up.

This is the perfect place to come home to each day on your adventurous Costa Rican vacation. This was our first time in Costa Rica and we had an amazing experience, mostly due to the hospitality of Tiki Villas (Kerling was our guardian angel the whole week!). Their recent renovation is spectacular and so relaxing and comfortable. As for the sights, we could see the ocean from our deck, and enjoyed views of the rainforest wildlife. Simply spectacular! Pura Vida!
