Tucked away by the canal, a short walk from the Jim Thompson house and Siam Square/MBK, take the water taxi to Central World/Big C. Watch the water taxis on the canal from your room. Economical, spacious, traditional. A bit wonky on minor details, but workable, typical for an older property in Thailand.

This is a great place to stay for the price. The staff is very helpful. The room is very clean, although a bit outdated. It is close to BTS (5 min. walk), food and shopping malls. If you are looking for a decent place as a base while exploring Bangkok - this is it.
