If you are considering a stay at the Motel 6 in Lenexa, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. My recent experience was unfortunately quite poor, and I cannot recommend this property. ​The Experience The condition of the room was unacceptable. Upon arrival, it was clear that cleanliness is not a priority; the room was infested with cockroaches, making it impossible to feel comfortable or hygienic. Furthermore, the air conditioning unit was failing, leaving the room stuffy and hot. To make matters worse, the atmosphere was marred by a pervasive, unpleasant smell of stale cigarettes and alcohol that clung to the room. ​The Highlights To be fair, there are only two minor positives to note: ​Convenient Location: The property is situated in an accessible area that is easy to find. ​Parking: Parking is available and was not an issue during my stay. ​Conclusion While the convenience of the location and the ease of parking are notable, they do not compensate for the significant lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort in the rooms. I would suggest exploring other lodging options in the Lenexa area to ensure a much better experience.

We paid extra for the room with the microwave and refrigerator. The mini fridge was small and we had difficulty fitting in our gallon beverage (same shape as a gallon of milk) and our take out food. The mini fridge does not have a freezer. The table and chairs were a nice touch and might be more useful near the microwave and refrigerator. The queen size bed was pushed up about three inches to the wall, if moved away from the wall for access, it blocked the access to the power outlet. There was a bit of overall maintenance that should be addressed (liquid streaks on the bathroom walls which did not look like it was from water) and other damage to the walls such as cracks and toe molding separated from the wall (most likely started as water damage). There was a single pest seen on the morning of our last day. This was mentioned to the staff and they appeared to be appreciative of being made aware. The room was on the lower level and convenient to get to from the parking lot. The staff I worked with were friendly.

The room was sufficient for the price. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The AC was a little loud, but kept the room cool enough and didnt disturb my sleep. There was no coffee in the room or in the lobby.
