Lovely receptionist, the room and hotel were neat and tidy. It has its own pool and little gym downstairs. You can head out to dinner, or like us go to the local IGA in Olinda and bring your food back to enjoy on the hotel grounds. The location is absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to spend a night or two for those who, like my family and I, love to be in a secluded spot surrounded by nature. It's very affordable for a room in the Dandenong ranges, right near Olinda which is a very charming little town. The hotel grounds are just like botanic gardens, the air is fresh, and you get a mutitude of wild birds for company. The pool is cool and deep, and relaxing. Honestly, great value for money.

A truly peaceful and spacious retreat when there were no conference bookings. Quiet and isolated but within reasonable range of towns and services. Good Basic accommodation and friendly staff.

The property is isolated & far from the shops but very relaxed. We came from a wedding event & drove back in the dark thru the winding road but it was a pleasant drive. You are in the heart of nature. Plenty of walking tracks. There's a water fall nearby. The Dandenong Botanical Garden is also close by (drive). We'll be coming back to this property time & again. Highly recommended 👌

The location was delightful. A shelf and a clothes hook or two in the bathroom would help a lot.

Lovely property and grounds. A bit dated, but the room was sufficient for our needs. Bed was hard and had two singles pushed together (to make a king). Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there but the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Panorama is in a very quiet, idyllic spot in the Dandenong Ranges. Our welcome was very pleasant and easy. We were shown our room, which turned out to have a faulty shower, with an alternative given immediately. The manager was very engaging and took us on a tour of the property, which has the primary function as a conference centre. The large central dining/lounge is comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are small, but clean. The bathrooms are quite small, but adequate for a short stay. The owners have only had the property for a few months, but are making significant improvements. This is a fantastic place to get away and relax if you want a total break. There are no shops within about five kilometres, but drinks are available at the motel. We were very surprised to return after a day out to find fresh towels and the bed made, something we did not expect on a daily basis, particularly for the reasonable price we were charged. Not too far from the burbs, but felt like a total bush experience, even to the deer passing through the bottom of the garden.

Very pleasant. Friendly, immaculate, warm. Excellent value for money. Superb gardens, beautifully maintained. It was a one-off trip to see family visiting from the US but would love to see it in the early spring. Only downside irrelevant - those of us from flat places found the mountain roads challenging.

The surroundings were beautiful and great facilities . We loved that The room itself was basic but good for the couple of nights we stayed. Could have had a fridge . Room was very cheap which was great Bathroom extremely small and hard to move around in though . We were disappointed that we weren’t able to pay for a buffet breakfast. We were told this by staff but saw this was available to other guests . A breakfast option may be something to look at for other guests not just big groups

Beautiful location, clean rooms, close to Olinda and Sassafras. Very handy for exploring the Dandenong Rangers. Staff are friendly. The communal lounge and Pool table were a great bonus. Downfalls - no fridge or microwave in room. We were also booked in the same night as a wedding party, so the after party took place in the rooms beside our's, as well as the courtyard beaide our window, so I was kept awake most of the night, which left me rather angry with a big day of driving and walking ahead of me.

Signage at entrance is poor as it has another name in large letters and then a small sign saying the panorama etc. very confusing. we drove past and then another km or so there was another sign that took us into the back. The setting is beautiful and quiet. lots of birdlife and rabbits. Dinner is very limited and served in lounge but understand there are other venues within driving distance. Rooms are clean, very small, no bar fridge. Staff are very friendly - polite and accommodating.

This property was quite nice with beautiful grounds and our cabin was very comfortable, but TBH it was dead. We were there for 1 night and barely saw another guest. There was no restaurant open, and when we came back after having dinner in town, the whole place was deserted. Then when we went back to our cabin, the TV reception was not great, which is fine normally, as most places have smart TVs, and you can just login to your own Netflix. But these were old TVs, and we couldn't even do that. So, with 2 teens with me, we didn't have a lot of options. For almost $400 a night, I was expecting more from it.
