Check-in Issue/Resolved Room Issue
We checked into the hotel around 8:00 pm. I had booked a QQ room with a roll in shower for my elderly mom. I called the hotel to let them know we would be checking in late & to be sure our roll in shower room would still be available to us. They assured me it was. When we arrived, I was informed that they did not have a QQ room with a roll in shower but we could have a K room with a pull out sofa & roll in shower. We declined because we are all too old to sleep on a pull out sofa for three nights. The manager decided to ask the people who had just checked into the QQ wheelchair accessible room with the roll in shower if they would move. They agreed. We were finally able to get into our room at 11:00 pm. Other than the check-in problem, the hotel was fine & the food from the restaurant was good. For other travelers: Unless you are traveling with someone who needs a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower please consider not booking this type of room. There are not many of them in a hotel & they should be available for the people who really need them.

Poor
Hot and sticky
The days I stood in the hotel 90+ degrees, 70+ humidity, check in 3pm left and went out came back 8pm to a 90+ room. Called desk, after 20 minutes hotel staff opened enclosed a/c unit, staff stated at time thermostat and a/c unit do not communicate so it has to be shut down and restarted. All was fine until 1am again 90+ in room call desk and was told no one available service, shut off a/c and opened door to let in a/c from hallway. Informed desk 9 am and was told would change my rm, once a rm is avail. Returned at 8pm, asked desk if my new rm was ready and was informed she had no information of rm change and would need to talk staff who stated rm would be changed. In the middle of the night again woke up to 90+ rm, 8am went down to inform desk, again was told rm would be changed after 1pm if avail, so checked out two days early, wasn't paying $150 a night not sleep and sweat all night.

Very good
Good, arrived early. Some of the front desk personnel needs some rre-traknging in customer service, but all in alll not so bad of stay. Housekeeping came into the room without knocking our first night there and some type of insect ran under the bathroom door in the middle of the night. We had to call several time for the ice machine to be filled even after sitting at the pool for a couple of hours. It still hadn't been replenished, needed it to drink water to take medicine. Not a perfect stay, but not a bad one either. Maybe would choose again because of pool. Picture on website not the same but nice anyway. It shows a lot bigger than it really is, but the children enjoyed it and had fun in it . Room was very clean, hotel was clean and good location in connection to main DC.

Great stay, very nice hotel
Visiting Washington with two teenage kids, this hotel was the perfect choice. Opted for the corner room, which was a great decision, as it provided the extra room needed for a roll-away cot, and had a great view through the two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. Hotel seemed new and clean. Location is good for a walk into Georgetown shops and restaurants and GWU. Metro station (Dupont Circle) is a 10 minute stroll. Our only complaint is that room service did not get to our room until later in the afternoon, and just at the time that we had returned to our room to rest before dinner. Wish they had come in while we were out all day. We basically just took new towels and told them not to clean the room. That was the only inconvenience.

Perfect location for a tourist!
This hotel is located in the midst of a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and bars and a very pleasant 5 minute walk to the subway, providing easy access to all of the tourist attractions. Given the high cost of hotels in downtown DC (at least for a CDN $), this was extremely good value and you couldn't find a better location in terms of neighbourhood ambience (the residential streets of Georgetown are well worth a stroll). The hotel was extremely quiet at night with large well equipped rooms containing a microwave and decent size fridge, and floor to ceiling windows on one wall. The Whole Foods is a few blocks SE and there is a Walgreens and CVS on the block. The rooftop pool is small and not very deep, but the rooftop lounge is a great place to read and book and watch the sunset at the end of the day! The main floor restaurant has glass doors that open on to a sidewalk cafe. The concierge was very helpful as was the front desk staff. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.
