Very good 8.4 From 202 reviews

Very good 8.0
Very basic accommodation, although not terrible, it was the minimum end of accommodations in general. The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The overall location and neighborhood was fantastic. Perfect for tons of restaurants, bars, and nightlife. Extremely busy area at night and convenient to a choice of subway stops. The room we had was quite small with a private bathroom, and it was very small, but quite adequate for needs. Overall this place is perfect given the price point (you get what you pay for) and the staff was very helpful, this place is much more like a hotel than a traditional hostel. This place is really a very basic hotel rather than a hostel. Additionally, the hostel provided a car service contact for an airport pickup/drop off who was excellent.

Would love to return...
The staff were ALL very friendly and helpful. The hostal (despite its very unassuming entrance) is on the second floor of the building and was clean, comfortable and well run. I was very pleasantly surprised that towels and toiletries were supplied, considering the budget cost. There was also a TV and air-conditioning that was silent and efficient. Storage space in the bathroom was a little lacking. We had our desired twin-bed room which was not guaranteed at the time of booking but which we got anyway. There was some noise transference between the rooms but use of earplugs minimalised it. Street noise was low considering its central location. Breakfast was eaten at Pannus, the bar on the ground floor. That cost 3 euros for 2 croissants and tea/coffee - very reasonable and again very friendly staff. On top of that we experienced an October heatwave.

Very good 8.0
This a simple hotel in the heart of Chueca, a lively neighborhood. Excellent for solo travelers. But it’s a hostel not a hotel. So no fridge, hair dryer, etc. but it’s clean and safe and a quick walk to the gran via. And so close you may not need the metro

Right in the heart of Madrid... wonderful location
This property is situated perfectly to get to know Madrid. The neighborhood is right off the Gran Via and everything is within a few minutes walk... shops , restaurants and tapas bars abound within a few meters. There's a 24 hour bakery and coffee shop right next door and on the other side a little shop that sells wonderful fresh fruit. It's not your typical American hotel/motel... more like a hostel with private room and bath, but we loved it for the location. Staff VERY helpful and friendly.

Fair 4.0
Price not warrantable, loud location, some defects
The prices in that hotel are too expensive. The double bed is too small. The heating did not work. The bathtub is tiny and there was no plug. It was not possible to hang up shower head because the construction was broken. At the weekend you have party guest in front of the hotel and during the week there is construction work going on from 7 am. I would not stay again for that price.
