Unfortunately the New Oxford Hotel was not open so we were moved to a sister hotel. Caused a little confusion initially.

Quick check in and friendly people. My tv didn't work and there was stains on the floor , but I wasn't bothered , was very close to winter gardens :)

Not the ritz but certainly not the pits.👍
Nothing wrong with this hotel It’s not the ritz but it’s not the pits Friendly staff, basic rooms, ideal location, decent breakfast. No car park available but got one a few minutes walk so ok there A little run down but for money paid you won’t get better in Blackpool in this prime location All good

Avoid at all costs
This was the most memorable hotel stay we've ever had--for the wrong reasons. Dirty, run down, no air conditioning--the entire hotel needs a complete overhaul. When we arrived, the credit card system didn't work and so they demanded cash upfront--this led to a very unpleasant start. The room isn't serviced on a daily basis during your the stay other than they'll come around in the a.m. asking if you need new towels. The bathroom towel was torn and tattered. It took multiple tries to get the toilet to work--flushing a toilet is not difficult. Toiletries are not provided other than the tiniest bar of soap. Tile and floor were dirty. The main room was so small--not adequate for two people. The windows wouldn't close so they were open the entire time, but this was needed since we had no ventilation in the room; there was no air conditioning so very uncomfortable for sleeping, dressing, etc. We found old food on the floor, run down wall paper and walls which just hadn't been cleaned. Filthy! Walls are paper thin. Hallway floors creaked so it sounded like people were walking in our room as they passed by. The door had an antiquated lock system with a key that we had to use to lock it from the inside. The wardrobe was rickety and full of mismatched hangers. We were so glad to leave and will never return to this hotel.

Not happy
Hi was booked into the new oxford but was told two days before we would have to go to the Melville hotel but had been upgrade well what a mess the Melville was in 1st night food was cold breakfast today was greasy bedroom was very smelly and very hot nowhere to plug the kettle in unless you've moved the bed entertainment never turned up not the fault of the staff . Would like to say the staff were brilliant only six staff to look after 80 to 90 people not fair to them The hotel itself needs a makeover for what price they charge
