Looks better from the outside.
Hotel is in the middle of the old town. As we arrived by car we had difficulty in reaching the hotel through the narrow streets. We had booked a Seaview room and whilst we had a glimpse of the sea hardly worth the extra cost. Room was small and poorly furnished. Staff friendly. Breakfast buffet poorly presented on a few tables at the back of the main restaurant. Main advantance of this hotel is it’s location in the centre of St Marlow

A gem in the old city
When I booked this hotel I did not realise that it would be inside the old walled city of St Malo. What a magical place. Our room looked down onto the seawall side of the hotel where we could see the other off-shore fortifications and away off to the North East Coast toward Normandy, The hotel is surrounded by wonderful restaurants with seafood & beautiful meats. It is close to the Island of Mont St Michel. The hotel is very large and we had an enourmous room with a beautiful large bathroom and toilet.

Good hotel in top location
Top location - big minus was no fixed shower head. Room had fantastic view straight out over the rampart to the tidal beach below. Room wasn't huge but adequate. Proper shower would have improved our experience. Main thing was it was close walking to the whole town intra-mûros.

Lovely stay
Slightly on the expensive side, but that is Saint-Malo. The decor of the room was pleasant. The bathtub was big enough. The level of cleanliness is acceptable, but there is room for improvement. The breakfast was decent. Pleasant memories.

A tired look!
Very helpful at Reception. Changed our room so it had a bath ( had severe backache) However, the bath only had a hand held shower for my husband. There was a huge tear in the duvet which had been repaired rather badly and was on view which was a little disappointing to see. Otherwise all was fine.
