Just got back to the state a day ago. Stayed six nights. The hotel was 70 percent acceptable. Can definitely use some work to enhance the appearance and atmosphere of the rooms. Rooms and bathrooms can use some make overs with modern and contemporary designs. Toilet is too low. I liked the deluxe room, especially, with the balcony overlooking the ocean. However, the big wall at the end of that room was not appealing. The wall was extremely mildew and dirty, not appealing at all. Give guests a dreary and erie feeling. The grounds are nicely kept, but, walk ways can use some care. Front office, all the staff were very nice and accommodating. The sitting area needs some renovation, change of chairs and welcoming scenery. Restaurant, I was very disappointed in the food, presentation was good, however, hardly anything was tasteful and worth the price. I have been visiting this hotel for about 15 years. The place is pretty nice, clean and perfectly located in Ocho Rios. As I mentioned, the bathrooms and rooms can use some major upgrades. Other than that, I liked the deluxe room and I will return once management will read the reviews and proceed to access and make necessary enhancements. There is always room for improvements and growth. Bless up to everyone at Hibiscus Hotel.

This property is beautyful and lush with all of the trails and gardens. However upon arrival I was shown to my room with an obstucted view of the ocean and a very nasty wall (sacry looking) attached. I totally disapproved of this room but was upgraded after I informed that that room was unacceptable. I was given a beautiful view and a very nice room. Breakfast was fantastic and the coffee was the best. Thanks everyone for the service. Also the spa is a big plus.

The hotel has been family owned and run for almost fifty years. Staff are efficient and courteous. The menu is varied and food is good. The Colonial style property is set in beautiful grounds, has a tennis court, swimming pool and breathtaking ocean views with direct access to the sea. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Many are on the ground floor for ease of access. A stay at Hibiscus Lodge represents good value for money.

The Hibiscus Lodge is a nice boutique property with friendly staff and good rooms. The location is amazing as it sits right on the water and is a short walk to downtown Ocho Rios. I felt safe and enjoyed the restaurant and bar on the property grounds. The rooms are nice, yet I do wish we would have been given the option to upgrade to another room if we wanted. As we felt that we were in more of the "family" area of the hotel. Other than that the staff was friendly and check-in was simple.

The customer service was excellent, the property was unique, well kept garden and bushes , the view was wonderful and so was the pools. I love that even though it was right off the main road the property was calm and quiet and very relaxing .

This is a nice property nestled in downtown Ocho Rios. It's great if you want to go to the local market and restaurants. Rooms are very nice with a great view of the coast line. The hotel does not have any activities so for fun, you will have to venture out. (that's the point of travel anyway, yeah) Also there is no beach front but they do have a small sun deck at sea level. Great place to stay if you want a small hotel, in town experience. the restaurant on site is reasonably priced and the food is excellent. The only beware is....make sure you clearly place your used towels where the housekeeper can see them because one particular from desk staffer will try to charge you for misplaced or soiled towels even if you definitely left them in the room.
