Needs maintenance
Hotel was in a good location. The toilet ran all night. The shower head sprayed water everywhere. The light outside the room shined in the window all night. The room smelled funny.

Can’t beat the price or location!
I came for my mid drive break to have dinner with a friend and rest up before I drove my cats to my brother’s house cross country. The pet fee is $15 per animal per night which is exceptionally affordable. The front desk was very kind especially after a long day of me driving and he was attentive to my worries about leaving my cats work my brother while I deployed. my room was clean, although the bathtub had a bit of rust but that didn’t bother me as I wasn’t intending to take a bath anyway. The hotel is right behind the Cracker Barrel which is great because that’s where I ate. No breakfast bar due to COVID but I can’t fault the hotel for that at all, so pack some snacks. Internet was good. Overall, for the price and great location, you can’t beat it!

About what you'd expect from this type of place.
Check in was quick, room was what I would expect at this price point. Nothing fancy, but it was a bed and the AC worked. Room was clean, no bug issues etc.

Room was by the elevator, bit noisy. Carpet needs to be deep cleaned.

Bad choice
The picture was a wonderful King bed room. Bes had a huge b double lump in it. Curtains didn't quite cover window, and bright lights on all night outside my room which is great for safety when you have curtains that cover the windows. Breakfast was juiand coffee, nothing else. Very old hotel. Doors on the outside. Couldn't find stairs and everyone wanted the elevator. Sad misrepresentation of what I was hoping to get. Extremely small bathroom. Couldn't shut door while using the toilet.

Don't do it!
There were individuals on each corner and in parking lots of each hotel that made us very uncomfortable upon arrival. Check in was good. Room was ok. Looked to be some blood smear on the bathroom wall and there was hair on the "clean" towels. We were fearful our car would be broken into over the night and our things stolen. We had prebooked the hotel through hotels.com so we would not be alloted a refund. After looking into Facebook after feeling uneasy, a post was shown that just 4 weeks prior, an individual was robbing someone in the parking lot, was shot, and fell in the lobby and was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedis arrived. After our first night of no sleep, we decided to pack up and stay elsewhere for our second night. We couldn't get out fast enough.

Unsafe area and filthy rooms
The location would have been great except it was not a safe area. There were lots of “activity” going on there because we were approached several times. The room was very dark, dusty, moldy and the carpet stayed wet the entire time. There is no ventilation inside the room that works. They also allow patrons to smoke right outside their motel room which causes the smoke to come underneath our room door. The stay was supposed to have been clean, quiet and relaxing which it was not at all. They, in my opinion, should remove ALL carpet from the rooms and put down a water resistant restaurant type flooring. This would greatly eliminate the smell, germs, mold, etc and be easier to keep clean and possibly brighten up the place. Also, the shower water pressure is great except the shower head stays in one position and you stand in dirty water up to your ankles due to poor drainage. Overall, this motel needs a huge update and upgrade especially for the price you’re paying a night. We were not at all relaxed at the end of our stay. Not sure if we will come back and we won’t be recommending this motel to anyone anytime soon. If you do decide to stay here, just stay armed at all times and be sure to keep the safety latch on the door as we had someone try coming in even after we said 3 times that we did NOT need anything.

Good
The room was clean but had a very musty smell. Everything in the room felt very damp. Someone had spilled beer all over the side steps from 1st to 2nd floor. After two days of being there it was never mopped up
