Hi. Great sunny lounge / dining room to read and enjoy. Room very clean. Would of enjoyed my cups of tea if green or trimmilk provided. What about some urgent replacement of the totaly worn out entrance door bottom sill? Not a good first impression and broken concrete tub top at entrance. Made very welcome. Thanks

Good choice if need to spend a night in the area
I had a nice stay at the Redwood Lodge in Methven in the middle of a trip from Nelson to Te Anau. The facilities are nice and clean and decorated with taste, and I even got a good breakfast, even though it was not mentioned at the time of the booking. If you need to spend a night in the area, this is quite a good choice.

Outstanding Hospitality
Liz and Martin run a fantastic B&B. They are a great couple, very friendly and went out of their way to help us with the many problems we had. The lodge itself is like home away from home. Very comfortable, clean, in a quiet area, good WiFi, beds, showers etc. The area itself is a good base as there are lots of walks to be done within an hours drive of Methven. Peak hill near Lake Coleridge and Woolshed hut were our favourites. I highly recommend the lodge as a first stop from Christchurch.

Very Friendly Host Liz (owner) was very helpful in time of distress of her guest. There was major road closures due to bad weather and she was very helpful in updating us of the work in progress and when the road was opened so that we could continue with our onward plans Tks Liz

Nice accommodation, clean and comfortable
Nice little place with great hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room. Nice common room with fire and full service kitchen. Coffee and tea available. Good breakfast in the morning, toast, eggs and cereal. Great for families or that stop over on the way down south. Also works well for extended stays if you are skiing. Would definitely stay here again if I needed a night off the road. Walking distance to the town and restaurants. WiFi is a bit weak in the rooms but great in the common room. In a quiet residential neighborhood. No complaints.
