Serene found away from the busy city
We booked this property just the night before the actual check in date. My wife requested to look for a place that is serene and something close to nature. I used Expedia to look for hotels and i found this Changi Cove in the list that suits our needs. Below is the complete review of the property; a. Room -> since we booked late, we only have twin sharing room, but we were able to manage to combine it and make it our own queen size bed for the night. The beds are comfortable and the pillows gave me a good sleep. The aircon is functioning well, espresso coffee maker is nice and an interesting part of it was the writable wall portion of the room. The bathroom size is okay, however, the half glass door makes it challenging to avoid the spill of water when taking a bath. Also there is no fridge our room, but that is still tolerable. But overall, the room was nice and in good condition. b. Location -> it is located near the airport and the Changi beach. Still accessible via public transport (bus) but you need to walk for a couple of minutes from the bus stop which is a good exercise also, unless you are carrying a couple of luggage with you. The hotel is ideal for passengers with stopover at the airport as it is only 15 mins away from it. c. Facilities -> this property is best for retreats, meetings and for tourists who wants to find peaceful environment surrounded by trees. Plenty of meeting rooms, a 24 hour guest lounge and swimming pool from a nearby partner property.

It's ok, but be ready for the long walk
A good alternative to the far more expensive airport hotels and only a short cab ride away, this is a convention hotel which has the strangest layout. There is nothing direct about the walk from the foyer to the rooms - up an elevator, along a hotel corridor, then along a garden walkway, through a security gate, up another elevator and then a long, long walk to the room. So be sure to have everything with you, as the trip back and forth to the rooms takes time. Oh, and the service on the front desk is the epitome of 'perfunctory'. Not friendly, not rude - just service to get the job done. I had the desk clerk offer me a room with a bigger bed, which I said thank you to, and then he told me it would be an extra $20. There's nothing subtle about this way of dealing with customers. Just direct. Would I stay there again? At a good rate (which I had snared), yes as it's fine, but it could be so much better.

Close to Airport
Hotel is about $15 cab ride from the airport and looks good on paper but the reality is a hotel built to a tight budget. The staff are excellent but are let down by hotel with minimal comforts. No fridge in room, powdered milk, 17 TV chanels but not very good good ones, a shower that sprays sideways and a bean bag for a chair. Could do much better if they tried, also the rooms are in another building away from the lobby which makes it a bit confusing to find which floor you are supposed to be on. Breakfast is adequate but bacon lovers will be disappointed although the egg chef is very good. I didn't have a chance to explore the surrounds but it seems a bit isolated. The hotel seems to be geared to the conference market as opposed to the traveller so please take that into account. As an aside immigration takes a lot longer now they have thumb printing and a new system which sees you waiting in slower than ever moving queues.

Exceptional 10.0
Good & viable as a layover if you can get discount
I cannot really comment on the local area etc as I only use this hotel for overnight stays as io pass thru Singapore every three months or so. I am using little of the facilities... or the local area. As a layover it is good, about a $15 fare from airport... make sure you have the address on you as not a lot of taxis at the airport know it. So I now discuss it as a layover then and compare it to the alternative of the Terminal 2 (outside) Crowne Plaza.... Changi Cove is good ifor a layover if you can score the super discount to $140 with brekkie... If CC goes above $180/190 as it often does, you may as well pay the extra and stay at the T2 Crowne Plaza ($275 with brekkie.. they (T2 CP) never discount).

Nice Hotel but not close to the beach
As a member of Expedia i received many discount offers on hotels & resorts all over the world. I’ve been to several plcs too. I chose Changi Cove bcoz it offers a fairly good budget for a staycation after coming back from a chalet at D’Resort 2 wks before. Changi Cove is serene and unhappening with little guests activities. Staffs are warm, welcoming and relaxed. But F&B should take into account of guests hospitality to provide a fair chance of dietary menus for either vegan or vegetarian, halal or non halal catering to the in house guests meals especially. I’m very sure a guest stay’s biggest aim is to eat and sleep and enjoy their time with their activities or hotel amenities. if this area is expanded and improvised would not only increase hotels’s popularity but also its occupancy. Not just saying ..
