great features in sleeping bunks/cubicles
Amazing breakfast included. Private sleeping cubicle w personal fan, exhaust vent, privacy curtain, electrical outlet and small shelf for charging phone. The cubicle design meant you didn't really hear noises from the other sleepers in the 6 bed dorm.

Alright place, good location.
The bar area downstairs was good but the rooms and upstairs area smelt bad, perhaps a damp problem? Staff were helpful with recommendations and such. Great location for food, bars and transport - smack bang in downtown.

Clean, good value & central location
Great choice for a central location, and very clean (especially for a hostel). Excellent included breakfast - bagels, muffins, fruit, juice, boiled eggs. Only negative on this stay was that the room (top floor) was uncomfortably warm. That said, I would definitely stay here again. Good value.

Comfy, clean and safe. Great staff!
I stayed here for one night during the COVID-19 pandemic out of necessity and was worried about being in a dorm in close proximity to others, however they had spaced everyone out one per room so I had a dorm to myself. The beds have so much privacy and each have their own air con, lamp, shelf and plug socket. The mattress was super comfy and you get a proper duvet not just a sheet or blanket. The room and bathroom were very clean. I didn’t use the communal areas or have the complimentary breakfast so cannot comment on those. The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming despite working in a high risk environment during the pandemic. Huge thanks to them!

They make Vancouver great!!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for recommending I park my car at the holiday inn, cheapest guarded parking. It is a hostel so it can get loud but if that botherS you then hostels are not what you need. Breakfast was awesome!!! Great choice of food. I was not expecting that. Central location, park your car and walk. There are lots of great little restaurant around, and I loved the “Nesters Market” corner Nelson Seymour, nice deli food.

wifi was extremely weak and most of the time we didn't get a signal. Location is great. Breakfast is basic.

Decent hostel, decent location
This hostel is located a few blocks south of Vancouver City Centre Skytrain station in the central part of Vancouver. It's a fairly large hostel in an older building on one of Vancouver's main streets. Despite that, my room facing the main street was fairly quiet with the typical urban noises that you'd expect even on Friday/Saturday nights (the area seemed like a bit of a seedy clubbing area but not dangerous). The six bed dorm that I stayed in was pod-style with thick plywood creating some privacy; not quite Japanese capsule hotel, but similar. The hostel has one daily organised activity that you can join, from winter sports on Cypress Mountain to a walking tour of Granville Market to hiking in Lynn Valley. I didn't take part but that seemed like the way to meet others if that was your thing. Washrooms were fairly clean and usable (6 toilets and 6 showers per floor, separated from each other, decent water pressure and enough hot water). There's a bar downstairs that serves craft beer (HH from 4PM for $4/16oz) which was decent. Breakfast from 7:30-9:30 was also served here, with the typical backpacker fare (bread, cereal, milk) but with the added bonus of fruit(!). There's also a little lounge on the 2nd floor, which while a bit sterile and anti-social, could probably be activated depending on who's there at the time. There didn't seem to be any rules or hangups about buying your own beer and drinking there instead of at the bar. Overall, decent. Would stay again.
