Good value for money
Well located hotel across the road from Kyoto station, not close to all the action in Kyoto but being close to the main Kyoto station it is easy to get to most areas including cities like Nara, Osaka and Kobe. Was in twin room which was quite small but this is normal for Japan, room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was included in price but restaurant was very small, was always busy and limited selection but all food was decent quality. Would recommend and was very good value for money particularly during a peak period in Kyoto.

Room was clean and tidy but Toilet a bit smelly. Staff was ok but husband said the breakfast was bad. Location is opposite the main station good for people travel longer distance but not where the activities are.

Good value and a fantastic location.
The room was a little crammed, with one queen bed which was pushed up against the wall on one side. Little space to open your luggage in. The location, however, was superb: right across the road from Kyoto main station. Breakfast was excellent, but some problems accessing wi-fi.

Fantastic location, small rooms
First things first; "Would I stay in this hotel again?" - Absolutely! The location of this hotel is fantastic, directly opposite Kyoto station. If you arrive by train, exit the station, and see the Kyoto Tower across the road - you are at the wrong side of the station. The hotel is close to several restaurants, and a shopping centre with a decent food court. However, be warned, the rooms here are small. They are quite comfortable & clean, bu they are small. I have stayed in a number of "small" hotels in Japan (usually ~18m2/double, or the bed had been raised to accommodate luggage underneath), but my room in this hotel couldn't have been over 12m2, and the bed had not been raised to accommodate luggage. This isn't a bad thing, but if you arrive with several large suitcases you "will" be in for a shock. The breakfast has a reasonable selection of both Western & Japanese style foods, and while it isn't a huge buffet, it does provide you with enough to start the day. All in all this is a good hotel, and as I stated previously, I would definitely stay here again.
