We stayed in the ocean front room. The room and view were beautiful. We had dinner at GIGIs. The food was good. The menu selection Was limited for us because we do not eat fish. The negative with Gurneys is the rooms are not connected to the main building. They do provide a car service to pick you up. I feel this limits you. We would have gone down for a drink but it seemed too involved to get there. This resort is not for seniors .

Excellent stay from start to finish. We had a gorgeous view in our oceanfront room and the chaise lounge on the patio was a great way to enjoy when not hanging on the beach! The indoor saltwater pool also provides beautiful views and ocean breezes and is a great way to end a complementary bath house session. We stayed for two nights and I just wish we could have stayed longer! Such a vibe, whole resort is just beautiful. Can’t wait to come back !

This property is very special and the staff ensure you have a very relaxed vacation. The location is exceptional on the beach in Montauk NY which is the end of Long Island. Do not miss the spa especially the bathhouse plunges. But also go visit the little towns and the excellent restaurants.

The perfect experience started with the reception. There’s the most lovely woman there. I’ve called her halo. I forgot her name, but she was a spectacular hard worker gave me a beautiful ocean room. She really really attended to her audience and all the staff was very helpful very good people, beautiful atmosphere , gorgeous beach. Food was good spa really nice everything about it is a 10 the only place to stay in Montauk and the Hamptons area if you want a full facility, you stay at Gurneys . we try to it’s has all the amenities you will need . very attentive staff go every year when we are here 😎

If you’re reading negative reviews- they are true. If you’re reading positive reviews - they are also true. If this place was 200$ per night I would Rate it higher. Relative to its price point, it is simply not worth it. The lay out is not good, the rooms are not modern and they are understaffed. The bathroom is tiny; the floors had sand. The staff is nice but not efficient and unable to meet your needs the way a 5 star check in process would be. Everyone seems removed. The beach is nice when sunny, the indoor gym and spa are nice. The beach service for food/ drinks is extremely slow. Montauk is a cute beach town, great concept in theory but I do think this place will soon lose business to lower priced hotels that have better service.
