The hotel is in a great area. Needs a little love. The staff is sloooowwww to respond. We left for coffee in the morning the door is locked. You must ring to be let back in the lobby. We had to ring 2 times and wait. It would have been nice if this is communicated.

Hotel is a great location. It is definitely showing its age, but for the price in Vancouver for one night it is totally fine.

Affordable hotel in excellent location
3 days pre cruise trip in Vancouver. Excellent location just across English Bay beach. Many restaurants in the area and is a little away from the rough downtown area. The room itself is spacious and comes with a kitchenette. We enjoy using the electric kettle, the fridge and the microwave. The room is reasonable clean and comfortable. The decor is old and the condition of the hotel desperately needs upgrades. Especially the garage area is disgusting. The price of this hotel is affordable while compare with other hotel in downtown Vancouver. Over all, if you don’t mind the appearance of the hotel, this is an affordable place to stay.

Exactly as described! Affordable stay in downtown, close to the water and delicious food. You get what you pay for. Things are outdated but they do a good job of upkeep.

Fortunately this hotel is located in a great area. Walkable to park, bay and numerous restaurants. The facility itself is very old and not well maintained. The carpets were all stained in the hallways and paint was peeling everywhere. It was only a one night stay before a cruise but any longer we would have switched hotels. It’s more like a hostel than hotel.
