Tourists without a car - a bad idea!
Mark and Lyn were somewhat surprised to find we had arrived in Meredith by bus! Not to be recommended. Taxied up to their charming hotel. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, homemade granola, yoghurt and raspberry couli, followed by poached pears and Mark's soda bread. Lyn took us down to the lake for a trip and collected us in the afternoon. They could not have been kinder or more concerned that we enjoyed our stay. We loved it.

Romantic getaway
We stayed at the Nutmeg Inn for 2 nights. The owners Mike & Lynn could not have been more welcoming and informative. They were full of great local places to go and things to do based on your personality and disposition. My wife had trouble sleeping the night before, so we came down to breakfast after it had closed. I assumed we would have to go out and find a bite elsewhere. They wouldn't hear of it, They went in the kitchen and made us a great breakfast with all the trimmings. The area is lovely. The Inn is adorable. Mike and Lynn are FANTASTIC!!

Very Good8.0
Great breakfasts, rooms need facelifts!
Inn-keeping is a big job and Lynn and Mark are to be commended. We were made to feel at "home" and the inn was truly quaint and the grounds were quite pleasing. Keep in mind that people also look for 2017 amenities like TVs in the room and/or radios/clock. These rooms do not have these things. This was unexpected as we often like to hear news while getting ready or turning in at night. The price paid does reflect 2017 amenities and for that reason I would pause before returning. The rooms are cute, but haggard and worn. The breakfasts, however, were very good and personably served. That was the best part of the experience. The common areas were also very nice but the rooms themselves are in need of updates! Also, we were quite taken aback when a large German Shepard dog was allowed to reside at the inn and left to roam without a leash. Some folks liked it, we did not.
