Comfortable room but carpet had been cleaned around the bed and was still very damp underfoot and pungent on check in and the following day which made the room smell quite unpleasant. Staff were notified and drying of the carpet attended to. Breakfast was self serve and extremely generous with lots to choose from in the dining room , which had a lovely view out to the garden.

Super place
Great breakfast, good beds, lovely facility and great amenities. Just the following note: This is the second Victoria area B&B we stayed in, that needs to learn to maintain their bathroom fan. The amount of dust covering the fan was atrocious. No fun looking up to when you are having a shower. Also a fire hazard. In fact we would suggest the property replace all of their bathroom fans as these are of the cheap kind that make lots of noise , but little air movement. It would be nice not to have to listen to a bathroom fan 3 rooms down the hallway.

Great stay - from another era
2 nights. I will return and bring my wife next time. The heat (too much) seems to be a problem, but the old world charm makes up for it.

Quiet b & b
A quaint b & b with a good continental breakfast, in a quiet and beautiful but central area.

Off and on there was a very bad smell that luckily did not permeate into our room much- the building is 100 years old so there may be issues with the sewers. There is NO housekeeping during your stay which is not a big deal for us but we were surprised that there was a plate in our room asking for tips for housekeeping! You can help yourself to new towels from the laundry where you can also do your own laundry for no charge which is good. They are extremely uptight about wanting everyone to wear their sock feet in the house due to the hard wood floors but it was very cold in Victoria while we were there and I found my feet were cold at times so perhaps they should provide slippers if this is the house rule and they should advise people ahead of time to have lots of socks packed.
