Came as a guest, left as a friend. I can’t think of a better way to describe my stay at the Mvuvi resort in Zanzibar. I had originally booked for 4 nights but ended up staying 8 nights. The location is perfect, the beach has pristine clear water, the rooms are clean, the stuff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is very well maintained, the menu is accommodating for all tastes, and so on…. I would like to personally thank the manager C for making my experience in Zanzibar unforgettable. Height recommend this beautiful boutique resort. Ciao.

We loved the location on the beach and the private area with a guard. The food was lovely and well presented. The room had everything we needed but did smell a bit damp. I think the moisture in the humid air is hard to control. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Grace went out of her way to make our trip relaxing. We loved Samwell a newish trainee who works very hard and has a great sense of humour. My only criticism is that no fresh coffee is offered or available at the hotel. I had to go next door to get my fix. We would definitely visit again and bring the cafetière. Shame with all the lovely African coffee on offer.

Lovely Mvuvi
We had 2 rooms for our family at Mvuvi which is on the lovely Kiwengwa beach with powder white sand and beautiful turquoise water. The resort is small, private and a bit rustic but fit our family perfectly. If you are looking for a big, party place, keep looking. The staff led by Grace was very attentive and always available. Grace helped us with excursions and even gave us a partial refund when we were disappointed in one outing. She also helped us when there was a problem with something we had booked ahead of time and it worked out great. The food at Mvuvi is outstanding! There were good vegetarian options as well. I would have preferred regular coffee rather than instant but that is minor. The dining room is upstairs with a lovely view. WiFi is spotty and only worked for us in the dining room but I think that is quite common in Zanzibar. Thank you Grace and everyone at Mvuvi for making our stay so special!

Great Hospitality!
This place is amazing ! Relaxing. Perfect for couples or family that seek peace and quite!!! Where shall I begin...? From the rose water they provide to wash your hands and the delicious juice they offer at arrival or the amazing hospitality ? Grace, has been an amazing host. Has arranged my excursions based on my schedule and needs. I was in need of bandaids and she went above and beyond on getting some from the pharmacy and bringing them directly to me!!! Clean place and great food! I highly recommend it !

Paradise and a trained chef to prepare the meals!
Everything about Mvuvi resort was EXCELLENT. the hotel is on a white sand beach with its own private area. There is a reef just off the beach with many fish and some healthy coral-reached by a dhow(small boat that you stand up in) A "captain" sails the boat. Our room was a good size with fan and aircon and was spotless. Always had HOT showers., The hotel staff (organised by Grace)were so obliging-- anything we asked about or wanted they sorted. This included a car and driver for a half day-cost 35$ We had half board and the food was really good. Choices for breakfast and a four course meal for dinner which you chose after breakfast.The food was cooked to perfection and served quietly and professionally .We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a truely relaxed time in a paradise location.
