Shabby party hostel - STAY AWAY
I booked this for our young family as it had a '2 bedroom' option. When we arrived the reception was smelly and dated, the guy taking our bags dropped everything off the trolley within the first 5 metres... not a great start but looking forward to seeing the room.
He then takes us up what looks like a staff entrance, across the poolside fake grass that's all bumpy and filthy to our room. Its hot, right next to the main pool which is blasting dance music. The rooms are big but that's about the only nice thing I could say... the whole place is dated, stinky and feels like a cheap backpackers. We finally get the 80's aircon to work but quickly agree for the money we paid this place doesn't meet our expectations.
When i raise our concerns the staff were at least friendly but they still ended up charging me 9000 baht to cancel even though we hardly touched the rooms. When I told them we had a 2 year old and the music was too loud, they said 'you should have known its a party place from the word club in the name'.
I guess this place would be good if you're in your 20's, looking to party and don't pay more than 3000 baht per night... but banana fan next door looks SO MUCH nicer and they actually have a restaurant... KC only had 5 or so items on the menu and all super expensive.
In the 2 hours I waited for them to agree to partially refund my 3 night stay, 2 other groups came in complaining about things, aircon not working etc... it seemed like they don't really care.
